Chapter 96 - I Probably Did

It had been three days of me locking myself up in my house before I finally told Gabe I was free. It always took a day or two for me to decompress after such a large game.

Rugby was the wrong sport for me. It was far too social and the fan base was too large for someone who got tired very quickly of speaking. The interviews and cameras could get overwhelming but it came with the profession. I didn't think any sport did not have the same amount of publicity. I could be a figure skater and still have too many cameras in my face.

For a while I debated the idea of going out with Gabe. Didn't count as betrayal to Edward. It was just dinner with a really good friend and it wasn't romantic in any sense. Therefore he couldn't really complain.

Yes every time I saw Gabe there was a slight awkward tension in the beginning but after a few beers it always settled down. It was just a hurdle to climb to find out your childhood best friend was suddenly in love with you.
