"Are you upset?" Edward gently ran the tips of his fingers down my spine making the hairs on my body stand in attention. I was so comfortably warm for the first time in days, that with a full stomach, I felt about ready to go to sleep.
Edward's leg was thrown over my own as he spooned me leaving just enough space between us for him to knead the tight knots on my back. I missed him more than I had realized that I really didn't mind if he had a big mouth. As long as that big mouth made it possible for him to be with me.
"No," I gently smiled as I pushed my face deeper into the pillow. "You telling Melanie the truth meant that you could spend the night. Therefore I can't be angry."
When I looked back at him the smile on his face made me beam. I pressed a gentle kiss to his chin loving how perfect it was. How strange was that? I always used to think everything about Edward's face was annoyingly proportioned. He was perfect to every scale. Even his ears looked textbook.
