"You don't have to get up," I smiled as Connor groggily tried to climb out of bed but his head constantly tipped back onto the pillow. It was completely my fault. I hadn't allowed him to get much sleep throughout the night especially after I snuck into Dads bar to get a bottle of wine.
After we had sat outside by the balcony and froze our arses off, we came back in and cuddled on the couch in front of the fireplace. That led to me spending most of the night inside Connor before he protested and begged for sleep.
It was nine am and I could hear the chatter of the family downstairs with Ted, Henry, Aaron and Gabe. It sounded rowdier than usual. They would be spending the day with us before leaving this afternoon. Hopefully Connor would actually be awake by then.
"But breakfast," he mumbled already half asleep whilst I tucked him back under the blankets.
