After dealing with the pompous traitor, Andrew focused back on his territory.
He first needed to address Vulcan's unlocked functions and databases.
-Vulcan, can you tell me what functions and information you unlocked?
The human asked.
-Yes, my lord.
The AI answered.
-Starting with the data, I now have access to approximately 80% of the data from before my previous owner was defeated, including the star maps and data on factions in the region of Battleverse they occupied.
Unfortunately, this data is largely useless, since it was millennia since I was placed in that crystal box.
Additionally, I have access to the ship designs, droid designs, and some research data that were available to me at that time.
Lastly, I now have comprehensive data about the rest of the modules that are needed to make this installation fully functional.
Unfortunately, these components no longer exist since they were destroyed and never restored.
The good news, however, is that they can be built, and I have access to their blueprints.
Andrew's jaw hit the floor again and again while Vulcan dropped the bombshells one after the other.
-Are you saying that we can now build these modules and make you whole again?
Andrew asked, not certain if he heard it right.
-Yes, my lord.
The AI confirmed.
-However, the construction process will take a significant amount of resources and a lot of time.
-How much and how long?
The human asked.
If they could restore the whole set for Vulcan, then they would have a significant advantage over the treacherous factions, and it would nullify a significant portion of the advantage the other factions had over them.
-The full set consists of four shipyards, a resource gathering installation, two defense rings, a main installation with a command center, medical center, research and development center, and living quarters, a space port, and two repair installations with a hundred repair docks each.
Vulcan displayed the visual model on the main screen.
-This is basically a gigantic station, or rather a city.
Aelita finally found her voice after hearing all this.
Then she started going through the data and was shocked once again.
-This thing is not much smaller than the Atlantis you asked me to design.
She said.
-Vulcan, can the shape of the installations be modified?
Andrew asked.
-Yes, it can.
The visualization you see now represents how this installation looked in the past.
-Then, can you extrapolate how it would look if these installations were built into the Atlantis?
The human asked, hoping that his hunch was right.
A few moments later, a new visualization was presented on the main screen.
-The Atlantis project would need to be expanded by 7% to accommodate the defense rings; other than that, the engines would need to either have 12% more power or more engines would need to be added.
Lastly, the power generation systems would need to be increased by 10% to accommodate all the additional facilities, assuming that you plan to use Helium 3 as the fuel source.
Vulcan explained the changes required for the idea to work.
-How long would it take to build?
Andrew asked.
-It would take ten months to accomplish, if we can provide enough materials.
The AI said.
-There is no way.
Nairin said, looking at the data.
-We can't even make most of the parts for the frame of this thing yet; they are simply too big.
She explained, when everyone looked at her.
-I'm sure that Vulcan would not bother to tell us all of that if it were impossible.
Andrew said, hoping that the AI had an idea about it.
-I would not.
Vulcan confirmed.
-One of the other things that was unlocked for me is the capability to produce said parts, but it requires some modifications to this installation.
The image on the screen changed into the shipyard with the addition of something that looked like ribs of a gigantic creature right next to it.
-This is a space dock, operated solely by nanites.
It is capable of producing a dreadnought-class vessel or the parts required to build the Atlantis.
Building one of these will take two weeks with adequate materials.
It can also be used to build additional shipyards.
The AI explained.
Everyone in the command center was quiet at this, since they thought that it would take another year or two to even start building Atlantis.
-Alright, consult this with the engineering teams and the resource procurement teams.
Andrew finally spoke.
-Are there any other modifications that are required or functions that we need to know about?
The human asked.
It turned out that Vulcan had dozens of new capabilities, and one of them was to scan any vessel or technology and reverse engineer it, even if it was damaged.
Additionally, it could now create new AIs, and that was only two of the biggest functions that became available.
Considering the new capabilities the shipyard now had.
Andrew decided to simply tow the wrecks into an empty dock and have Vulcan scan them, instead of sending dozens of engineering droids and scot drones to get the technology piece by piece.
As soon as the docks were empty.
The tugs brought some of the less damaged wrecks and placed them inside.
-The whole scan and analysis of the technology will take forty hours.
Vulcan informed them when the scan started.
-It's way faster than I thought it would take.
Andrew commented.
Considering how long it would take him to reverse engineer the technology the usual way.
-Are you certain that the merchants' guild won't have any problem with this?
Tarina asked, a bit worried about the guild's reaction to their rapid technological progress.
-Yes, there should be no problem at all.
Andrew answered.
-I talked it over with Tanera, and since we are now in the battleverse, we can pretty much do whatever we want, and any technology that we find or develop is ours to keep.
He explained.
While the first few ships were being scanned, the space dock was being constructed by the nanites at a speed that shocked Aelita and Nairine.
Neither of them ever imagined seeing the gigantic ribs grow right before their eyes.
