Several hours later.
Change of POV: Shirou
I and Isei just exited Kuoh Academy before we parted ways, while I'm walking to the nearest shop, after all, I needed sustenance.
While walking, I began to think of various ways to make money, and one of the easiest methods was utilizing my abilities.
[Abilities]: limitless, golden rule, absolute luck.
I'm considering relying on sheer luck and going to a casino to gamble after learning about this power.
[The user possesses an extraordinary blessing of limitless luck, so profound that it surpasses the boundaries of conventional probability. Their luck is so significant that it alters the very fabric of reality. This enables them to defy the laws of causality and rationality, allowing them to navigate through life without fear of consequences and shape their own destinies according to their desires. Impossible odds and unbeatable adversaries present no challenge, as they consistently achieve victories in all areas of life.]
After that, I'm going to follow what Lego Batman always says: i'm going to bet on black.
I hummed before asking the system a question. "Can you instruct me on how to hide my magical presence?"
Another window replaced old one.
[Very well, but only once you are in a suitable environment. Regarding the current situation, you currently have an advantage over the Devils in Kuoh. They likely believe you possess a Sacred Gear related to the Holy Light element and may be monitoring you in some way. Therefore, it would be advisable not to conceal your presence in Kuoh just yet.]
'Very well, how do I awaken my [True Power] as you put it?'.
[It is simple; the user only needs to invoke a special incantation to activate the dormant energy within their body. This power is oriented around the Holy Light element, and as far as I know, it can transform your entire existence. The changes might not be limited to physical aspects; they could also include mental ones, but I do not have enough information on that.]
Hmm. "So, what will I turn into? I remember R.O.B. saying that I would have Satan-Class abilities, but it's up to me to learn how to properly wield them to their full potential, and that starts right away. It's truly a golden opportunity, but I suppose it comes at the cost of my humanity?"
'Welp fudge my Humanity I need that power for the UNLIMITED POWER MUAHAHAHA'
And of course, another window appeared, replacing the old one as usual.
[Yes. What I can claim for certain is that your new form will be oriented towards light; as far as speculation goes, you might turn into an angel.]
I looked at the screen with intrigue. It made sense, but in that case, it would imply a Seraph rank, Angel. After all, it would possess the power of Seraph/Satan-Class but have little to no control. So, I needed to ask this question now as well.
'Is it safe to assume that my 'transformation' will release a rather giant spike of magic?'
This time, the window wasn't replaced but instead another new word was added in the last sentence from the system.
[Yes.]
"My transformation will undoubtedly attract the attention of factions in Japan. After all, why would they ignore the potential threat of a Satan-Class being rampaging and wielding such power? They would definitely investigate. This concern would involve not only the Three Factions, which have significant influence in Japan but also the Yokai Faction and the Shinto. It would be foolish to think otherwise."
'Oh well, I NEED to get my powers as fast as I can. Concerning that I changed canon just from my presence, just look at Isei! Where will her dumb power-ups appear from now??!' I thought as I winced at those. No thanks, I won't meddle with them.
For now, let's focus on making money quickly time to head to a casino.

The casino floor pulsed with life.
The hum of conversation mixed with the rhythmic clink of chips, the whirl of slot machines, and the faint melody of laughter carried through the smoky air. Fortune and failure danced hand in hand here, every face lit by the flashing neon glow of hope.
But tonight, the room's energy felt different—sharper, charged, as though gravity itself tilted toward one man.
Shirou.
He sat at the high-stakes roulette table, calm in a sea of tension. His movements were unhurried, precise—every gesture deliberate. The dealer spun the wheel, the silver ball clattering around the rim in an erratic rhythm that drew every gaze to its dance.
"Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen!" the dealer called out, smiling, unaware of the storm brewing behind those composed eyes.
Shirou flicked a single chip toward the felt—number 17.
A long shot.
But the moment it landed, something in the air shifted. A quiet ripple, invisible yet undeniable, spread through the space. The ball began to slow… clattering, bouncing, fighting its momentum—until it clicked neatly into 17.
For a heartbeat, silence ruled the table.
Then the murmurs began.
"Seventeen again?" the dealer whispered, disbelief cracking his practiced voice. He stared at the ball as if it had betrayed him, then began pushing forward a mountain of chips. Shirou didn't even blink. He simply gathered the winnings with the same detached grace one might brush away dust.
Later, at the blackjack table, the pattern continued.
Cards slid across the felt like silk, and before they were even revealed, Shirou's fingers rested lightly against the table's edge—steady, certain.
The dealer smiled, shuffling with ritual precision.
"Your bet, sir?"
Shirou pushed forward a tower of chips. "All in."
One by one, the cards fell. A perfect hand. Again.
The dealer's jaw tightened as she turned over her own a bust.
"Unbelievable," someone muttered.
Shirou only smiled faintly. "I'll stand."
From the crowd, whispers began to spread like wildfire.
"Did you see that?"
"He's been winning nonstop."
"It's like he knows what's coming."
Eyes followed him now not out of admiration, but suspicion. Yet Shirou moved through it all untouched, as if the world's rules bent ever so slightly to accommodate his will.
After two hours of unbroken victories, he rose from the table. His chair slid back without a sound. He gathered his chips with the quiet efficiency of a man who had done this a thousand times before and made his way to the cashier's desk.
The cashier looked up, her professional smile faltering slightly when she saw the mountain of chips.
"Good evening, sir," she said, forcing a pleasant tone. "It seems you've had quite the run tonight."
Shirou leaned casually against the counter, eyes calm but gleaming with some hidden amusement.
"I've been lucky," he said, voice smooth, almost melodic.
Her fingers blurred as she counted, the chips clacking together in steady rhythm. When she finally looked up, her expression was a mix of disbelief and reluctant respect.
"This is… quite the haul," she murmured. "Over a hundred thousand. Would you like it all in cash?"
Shirou's gaze drifted across the casino floor the flashing lights, the muted roar of fortune seekers. It all seemed distant, as though he stood one step removed from reality itself."Take a little in cash," he said. "Transfer the rest to my account."
The cashier nodded quickly, entering the transfer. A moment later, she slid the cash across the counter thick stacks bound in paper bands.
"Here you are, sir. And if you need anything else…" she trailed off, still staring. "Don't hesitate to ask."
Shirou smiled faintly, pocketing the bills with the ease of a man who knew exactly how every night would end.
"Thank you," he said softly. "But I think luck and I have had enough of each other for one evening."
And with that, he turned, leaving behind the murmurs, the blinking lights, and the unmistakable sense that something more than chance had walked through the casino that night.
Shirou, 'it's time for a better house and materials. I want to try out magic engineering, blacksmithing, and potion-making'. Maybe I can sell these to others in the supernatural community. I remember that in DxD, devils don't have many healers like those in heaven.
Timeskip him buying a house cause im too lazy to write that

I have everything I need right now; I just need a good place to unseal my powers. I'm considering going to Kyoto for a few reasons.
It's closer than Tokyo, which means a cheaper ticket.
2. Kyoto is the capital of the Yokai Faction. While they may not be particularly strong, they might be open to negotiation regarding Yasaka's nature if necessary.
3. I could also go to Tokyo, but it's dominated by the Shinto Faction, which I've read can be even more ruthless and antagonistic than the Yokai Faction. It seems wiser to choose a weaker faction, right?
Aside from other reasons, the number one reason is the most important. It's just a 3,000 yen ticket from Kuoh to Kyoto with the Japanese Bullet Train. My money is not restricted anymore after all.
