Aeon immediately became guarded after Avery revealed that he knew of the existence of True Awakened. Something that was not widely known information, even among Awakened.
'He was showing such trust in me until now. True Awakened must be a bigger secret than I originally thought.'
Avery felt slightly hurt by the distrust Aeon was suddenly exhibiting, but he understood why the time manipulating Awakened was acting this way.
No doubt Avery was touching on a subject that he had not even considered broaching up until this point. A piece of knowledge that was closely guarded by only a select few.
"Where did you hear about that? There aren't many that would know, and fewer that would share." Aeon asked, his eyes narrowed as he prepared to scrutinize Avery's every action and word.
