The air was heavy with tension and panic. Everywhere looked so different from how Isla had remembered it to be.
Sharp screeching screams filled the air as cars crashed into each other. Buildings collapsed to the ground as the earth itself trembled almost like an earthquake. Isla stood between Zade and Ronan in a building which was luckily unaffected by the chaos unfolding. The building used to be a shopping complex but now only the foundation remained. Glass shards from the broken windows littered the floor like confetti and the sky was covered in smoke. The beautiful sun was hidden behind the dark clouds casting a dim light over the city.
Ronan leaned his body against a weak pole making sure he didn't place his full weight on it. He had refused to go stay in Elaris home until he was strong enough. His healing was very slow which was as a result of Marcus' dark and poisonous magic. It was making it difficult for him to heal properly like a werewolf should.
