Helios didn't even know where he was headed or what he should expect, the whole thing felt so unreal to him. He's been trying to make sense of it, the reality of him turning into a wolf, the great urge that drives him to go looking for the truth, the voice in his head he knows is not his own voice and his parents said is that of his wolf, nothing makes sense at all.
It's like his whole life has been a lie and he just wants to know the truth.
He was distracted from his thoughts by the voice in his head.
"You might want to turn left" He heard his wolf said softly. His wolf's voice was weak and it got him thinking if it's like that with every body.
He turned left immediately and he saw a very big gate and a tall fence.
He wondered why anybody would want to surround themselves with this kind of fence, like they are hiding from the world or they are preparing for an apocalypse.
He drove towards the gate and he saw that there were people standing guard there.
"Good evening, Please I was traveling and I saw this place, I wanted to know if it's okay to spend the night here." Helios said to the guards who had walked over to his car.
"Are you alone?, How did you find this place?" The guard who appears to be the Chief Guard asked.
"Yes, I'm alone and I seriously was traveling down the road, when my wolf told me to turn left and as soon as I did, I saw this place" Helios explained.
The guards looked at themselves and the Chief Guard looked back at Helios.
"Your wolf, you say. Come down from the car so we can search you and the car"
Helios came down immediately and he was searched thoroughly by two of the guards while 2 others searched his car.
"It's just supplies and clothes in here" One of the guards searching the car said to the Chief Guard.
"Where are you headed?" The Chief Guard asked Helios.
"I don't know really, I just found out about this whole wolf thing and I left the house and after driving for days,my wolf directed me here, I thought I could take a proper shower and rest here before I continue my journey tomorrow" Helios explained.
"Where are you hoping to get to tomorrow" The Chief Guard asked.
"No where in particular, I just need to find out the truth about me" Helios explained.
The Chief Guard walked Away from Helios, while the rest kept watch on him, The Chief Guard mindlinked the Princess and told her about the situation at the gate.
"Open the gate" The Chief Guard said to the guards still standing by the gate.
He entered Helios' Car and Helios drove into the SilverBorn Pack.
It was nothing like what Helios imagined.
This was a full village, it was so big inside and the building structures were so modern.
He saw people walking around, Children playing but they all seemed to stop when they noticed his car. He tried to smile at them but he was met with an awkward stare.
"That building over there, that's where we are going" The Chief Guard said to Helios.
The palace itself was nothing short of breathtaking, Helios marveled at the level of attention to detail that must have gone into building it.
"Let's go, the Princess is waiting" The Chief Guard said to Helios.
Inside the palace had Helios completely mesmerized, it was the most beautiful setting he has ever seen and then he turned to look at the woman in front of him, whom the Chief Guard has just finished greeting.
She was so beautiful that he couldn't stop staring, is he dreaming, how can someone be this beautiful?, is she a goddess did he enter into a mystical realm by mistake?.
"Welcome to our pack" her voice brought him back to reality.
"Uhm, Yes, Yes, Thank you, your highness" Helios stammered trying to find the words to say.
"Tell me how you got here" She said.
Helios explained everything to her from the beginning and she looked at the elderly woman beside her who Helios will later come to find out was the Pack's Pristess. The elderly woman nodded, then Princess Isadora smiled at him.
"You really must be naive coming into an unknown territory telling them all about yourself, what is we are bad people" Princess Isadora smiled at him again.
" Not every territory welcome wolves so you don't go around announcing your self. Lucky for you we do. Our Chief Guard, Darian will show you to the guest quarters and we can talk in the morning when you are well rested" She smiled at him again and started walking towards the door before he could respond.
"Thank you, your highness" He said to her and she turned.
"Princess Isadora" She smiled again and walked out the door with her Beta, Cassia following behind her.
Helios was shown to a very big suite and he was amazed at the setting of the room. He immediately freshened up, he saw a tray of food on the center table as he came out of the bathroom.
He ate and immediately laid on the bed.
He couldn't stop thinking about Princess Isadora and he was grinning ear to ear.
"She's not our mate" He heard his wolf say faintly.
Back at the SilverBorn Palace, the Princess and her Beta, Cassia were preparing for the pack's meeting where they will discuss about Helios.
"Have you ever seen anyone as handsome as that Helios guy?" Cassia asked the Princess.
"I don't know" Princess Isadora said blushing.
"Spare me the modesty, everybody in that room could see you grinning from ear to ear." Cassia teased.
"Me??, what do you mean grinning from ear to ear, I just found him innocently fascinating" Princess Sylvia said trying to keep a straight face.
"You are blushing hard right now, you can't even hide it" Cassia said.
"I don't know what you mean."
"It's alright, no one will fault you, that boy looks like a Greek god, he's beyond handsome, the height, his eyes, the way he smiled and he scent so heavenly. If not that I'm mated to Darian, I would have fallen hard, so hard for him."
"Are you alright, today?" Princess Isadora couldn't control the laughter.
"You can laugh, lucky you, who knows if he's the man the moon goddess promised you after your mate died" Cassia said.
"Let's go, you are getting way into your head" Princess Isadora stood up and headed for the Pack Meeting Hall, with Cassia following behind her.
"It's a pleasure to sit with all of you again. I'm sure we've all heard about the stranger that is in the palace's guests quarters." Princess Isadora said and the pack members answered affirmatively.
"I know you all have questions on how he was able to locate our Pack, considering the fact that we are hidden under a spell that hides us away from the world. The Pristess Astraea will explain why he was able to find us"
"As we all know, the prophesy from years back that has allowed us gather here as one even as we are different breeds, it also chose for us our Princess who was to guide us till the one we are meant to follow to fulfill destiny arrives. I believe that once again as I step towards fulfilling destiny, the one whom we've all been waiting for as arrived."
There was murmuring among the Pack members but Darian the Chief Guard quickly calmed the crowd.
" He doesn't know about his destiny yet, we need to let him find it and we need to keep him safe from the dangers ahead till he his ready, so no one must speak about this to him, he must not know about the prophecy and this revelation must not pass this meeting"
The pack started murmuring again and the princess spoke.
"I understand the confusion, we need to remember that the ways of the goddess is not for us to understand nor question. Let's see how destiny unfolds"
