Chapter 357 - A Price To Pay

"They have been curing others all the way," Xion murmured.

The grip on his waist was definitely going to leave bruises. And yet, he didn't squirm to get rid of the hold.

Darius seemed troubled by something, and as his husband, it was his duty to reassure him. Honestly, it wasn't the Archduke's fault for being so strict with the newcomers.

With the way the guards had been capturing spies from various departments, it was necessary to be sure of the character of these people.

Xion could understand that much. So, instead of stepping aside, he leaned back, putting all his weight on the broad shoulders.

His black hair tickled under Darius' chin. Without him knowing, the scent clinging to his body had dulled the edge of the Archduke's dark thoughts.

"So?" came the cold reply. "What does it have to do with us?"

Xion chuckled softly. His breath fogged in the winter air.
