The so-called "surprise" was perfectly reflected in the expressions of Mike and Tony at this very moment.

The instant they stepped through the portal, they were met with a stunned face.

Mr. Sinister.

Both sides froze for a moment.

Tony quietly took a step back, while the expressions on Mike and Mr. Sinister's faces grew increasingly complicated.

Mr. Sinister raised his hand, but before his shockwave could erupt, Mike blurred forward like he had teleported. One hand clamped down on Mr. Sinister's arm, the other pressed against his head, and he shoved him backward with brutal force.

"Boom! Boom!"

Every piece of research equipment in their path was smashed to pieces.

With a deafening crash, the laboratory wall crumbled apart. While Mr. Sinister was still reeling in confusion, Mike hurled him out. Before he could regain his balance, two scorching beams of heat vision slammed into his body.

"Ahhh!"

Mr. Sinister screamed in pain, unleashing a blast of psychic power mixed with shockwaves that annihilated everything in front of him and crashed into Mike.

Mike crossed his arms in front of his face, sliding backward across the ground and gouging two deep trenches.

Seeing this, the enraged Mr. Sinister couldn't help but be shocked.

That strength…?

The wound on his chest writhed, and in mere moments it had completely healed.

The next second, as the ground cracked beneath him and Mike vanished again, the gentlemanly figure in a suit and white lab coat lost his composure.

"Fuck!"

Who the hell was this guy?

What grudge did they have?

Did they even know each other?

Boom!

With another thunderous impact, Mike's fist smashed into Mr. Sinister's chest, sending him flying.

Mr. Sinister's eyes bulged as psychic energy and shockwaves gathered in his hands. When Mike charged after him, he threw his fists forward, detonating the attack.

"Bang!"

The explosion rocked the base. A storm of force swept outward from the two of them.

The ground beneath Mr. Sinister's feet gave way, and he crashed down from the fourth floor into the fifth.

The fifth floor!?

Damn it—he couldn't let the battle spill into the fifth floor. The things down there were still too fragile!

Seething with anger, Mr. Sinister glared at Mike. With a roar, he raised both hands and compressed his shockwave energy with telekinesis, hurling it like a barrage of cannon shells.

Mike met it with a single punch.

The terrifying blast sent him tumbling, but within moments he surged back up from the fifth floor.

By now, the sounds of battle had drawn the cloned guardians of the base. They swarmed in, escalating the chaos.

As the fight grew more brutal, Tony shook his head. While fending off a few clones, he worked quickly to purge the backups.

This time, his movements were faster—within thirty seconds he had completely wiped everything, even the backups hidden on the fifth floor.

"Uncle Mike, cleanup's done!"

He called out quickly.

The moment the words left his mouth, Mike's fight with Mr. Sinister grew even more violent.

Seconds later, Mike appeared in front of Tony.

He casually dispatched the enemies attacking Tony, then with a flick of his wrist manifested a card. A portal opened before them.

"You go first. I'll clean up the battlefield."

Tony glanced at the head Mike was holding, his brow twitching. Without a word, he stepped through the portal.

With a wave, Mike closed the gateway. His heat vision incinerated the severed head, and a card appeared in his hand.

Name: Sakazuki

Profile: Marine Admiral, wielder of the Magma-Magma Fruit, known as Akainu.

Note: Justice! Justice! Justice!

A flash of light engulfed the card. A phantom in a cap with cold, merciless eyes appeared behind Mike.

The phantom dissolved into light, merging into Mike's body. His eyes gleamed, and his hands transformed into seething red magma.

Two minutes later, magma had completely consumed the base.

From above, it looked as if a volcano had erupted at the island's center.

Starlight Corporation, New York Headquarters

Jason Stryker stood at the top floor of the Starlight Tower, gazing down at the streets below with a fanatical smile.

This feeling of towering above everything, of controlling it all, was intoxicating.

Starlight already had a strong start—and a strong start was half of success.

He had already mapped out his next steps. So long as everything followed the plan, neither the X-Men nor the Avengers would escape his grasp!

Just as he was reveling in visions of the future, a figure silently appeared behind him like a phantom. A glint of light flashed—and two crimson beams shot forward, obliterating his heart.

"Ugh!"

The sudden agony of his heart bursting made him cry out.

Lowering his head, he stared in disbelief at the gaping hole in his chest.

Who…?

Thud!

His corpse collapsed heavily onto the floor.

Mike looked down at Jason Stryker's body and finally exhaled in relief. Thinking of the man's earlier pose at the window, he muttered, "Idiot."

He pulled out his phone and dialed Raven.

"Mike!"

Raven's voice was full of surprise. "I was just about to call you!"

Could it be… the legendary bond of hearts? She couldn't help but feel a little pleased.

"I need a favor."

"You need me to help you?" Raven asked, startled. "Is there actually something you can't handle yourself?"

"I—"

"Don't tell me you want me to clean up some romantic mess?"

"I want you to transform into—"

"Oh, transform into you and reject someone, right? Don't worry, I'll handle it."

Mike's expression darkened. "Listen to me! Forget it—just come over, you'll understand when you see."

He ended the call, opened a portal, and Raven stepped through, curiosity in her eyes.

"Where is this?"

Her face hardened as soon as she saw the body on the ground.

"Starlight Corporation," Mike said evenly. "I want you to take his form, manage things for two days, and help Tony collect evidence."

Raven nodded. "No problem."

She glanced at the corpse, and her body began to change. Within moments, "Jason Stryker" stood before Mike once more.

Watching Mike store the corpse in his dimensional pocket, she finally asked, "What happened here?"

Mike recounted what he had seen of the future. Raven couldn't help exclaiming, "Good work!"

"Leave it to me. This is exactly my specialty."

Confident, she smiled.

Mike nodded. "When this is over, I'll make sure to thank you properly."

"Thank me?" Raven stepped closer, licking her lips with a sultry smile. "And how exactly do you plan on thanking me?"

Mike's mouth twitched. "Could you not flirt with me while wearing that bastard's face?"

"Haha!"

Raven burst out laughing and blew him a kiss. "I've got this handled."

Mike grimaced, shuddering with disgust, and quickly left through another portal.
