Onboard the Helicarrier, Nick Fury stood on the command bridge, gazing out at the sea of clouds slowly drifting past. While his expression remained as placid as ever, an undercurrent of emotion was surging within him, and a sense of genuine excitement gradually began to build.

Mike had arranged a time with him—the time they would go to Kent Star together.

The Chief of the Kent Star Super-Powered Police Department.

After silently repeating the title to himself, a rare smile touched Nick Fury's lips.

The Super-Powered Police Department... This was an extremely important department on Kent Star, as it was the sole enforcement agency responsible for maintaining all order on the planet. It was, in fact, the only such enforcement institution.

Kent Star possessed no organizations like a standing military; there was only the Super-Powered Police Department.

Naturally, apart from the Super-Powered Police Department, there was also an administrative branch responsible for the normal operations of the city, which was equivalent to a national government. This branch was managed by Hank McCoy.

In addition to these, there were two other very special entities.

The Kent Academy for Gifted Heroes, and Future-Tech Industries.

One was managed by Charles, and the other was managed by Erik.

It was an exceptionally simple and clear-cut structure, devoid of any bloated, oversized institutions or nonsensical, bureaucratic departments.

"Working in a place like this... it must be incredibly refreshing and straightforward," Nick Fury murmured to himself, and that feeling of anticipation within him grew a little stronger.

"But still, why hasn't that guy shown up yet?"

Nick Fury checked the time.

It was already past the appointed time, so why hadn't Mike arrived?

Several minutes later, just as Nick Fury was on the verge of losing his patience and calling Mike, Mike opened a portal and appeared directly in front of him.

Seeing Nick Fury's dark expression, Mike asked, bewildered, "Are you angry?"

"Can't you tell?"

Mike studied him for a moment, then shook his head. "I really can't tell."

As soon as the words left his mouth, before Nick Fury, who had veins throbbing on his forehead, could even respond, Mike spoke again with a serious tone: "Enough idle chatter, let's get down to business!"

The corner of Nick Fury's mouth twitched uncontrollably.

This bastard!

He was the one who set the time, he was the one who showed up late, and not only was he late, he was now acting as if Fury was the one wasting time.

What a total scoundrel!

"I'll assemble my people."

Nick Fury pressed his hand to his throbbing temple. He spoke to Mike in a cold tone and glanced down toward the command center below the bridge.

"Wait a moment." Mike raised his hand, stopping Nick Fury. "When you get to Kent Star, do you have any useful personnel on your roster? I'm referring to combat assets who can actually be put to effective use."

Hearing this, Nick Fury, who had been about to nod, fell silent.

He had plenty of capable people, all of them elite agents. But the level of combat assets Mike was referring to...

He was likely referring to super-powered individuals, wasn't he? People who were at least on the same level as the X-Men?

If that was the standard, then he truly didn't have anyone like that.

As he considered it further, a wave of melancholy washed over Nick Fury. He really was in a pitiful state...

The once-dignified Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and he didn't have a single super-powered combatant he could deploy!

Still, for Mike to ask the question in this way...

"Can you find some helpers for me?"

Nick Fury's eye lit up as he stared at Mike.

"Find them? Where am I supposed to go and find them?"

"Then why the hell did you even ask!"

"However, I can make a couple for you."

"Make?" Nick Fury frowned. "What's that supposed to mean? Did you gain the ability to give birth to children now?"

Mike: "..."

Man, he was really still holding a grudge about him being late, wasn't he?

"I'm afraid you've been on this Helicarrier for so long that the wind has blown you into a complete idiot."

Mike retorted, and several cards appeared in his hand.

"These are?"

Nick Fury frowned.

Weren't these Mike's cards?

Before he could get a clear look at the images on them, the cards dissolved into motes of light and vanished.

Immediately afterward, four figures solidified from illusion into reality, appearing right in front of him.

They were four people, including both men and women, all dressed in green flak jackets. They were Jonin of Konoha.

Hatake Kakashi, Might Guy, Kurenai Yuhi, and Asuma Sarutobi.

Witnessing this scene, Nick Fury's eye widened in disbelief.

This was the very first time he had ever witnessed Mike use this particular ability.

"This is what you meant by 'making' people?"

He turned his head stiffly to look at Mike, his expression filled with absolute shock.

Mike's ability had just demonstrated another one of its powerful functions.

Ignoring the stunned Nick Fury, Mike turned his attention to the four individuals he had permanently manifested.

The four of them spoke respectfully, "Master."

To them, Mike, the one who had manifested them into existence, was their supreme creator.

Mike nodded. "From now on, you are to follow him," he instructed, indicating Fury, "and obey his dispatches."

The four nodded in understanding, then turned their gaze to Nick Fury and nodded in acknowledgment.

Nick Fury's mind was still reeling slightly. He couldn't comprehend how they could be four inanimate cards one moment and living, breathing people the next.

He reached his hand out, intending to pinch Kurenai Yuhi's cheek. A cold glint flashed in Kurenai's distinctive red eyes. Asuma Sarutobi immediately shifted his body, stepping in front of Kurenai and extending his hand to Nick Fury. "We look forward to working with you, Mr. Fury."

Nick Fury grasped Asuma Sarutobi's hand, feeling the distinct warmth radiating from his palm. He turned to Mike in astonishment, "They're... real?"

"Of course they're real. They are all living, breathing people that I created."

Upon hearing this, Nick Fury gave the four a stunned look, then turned back to Mike. After a moment of consideration, he said, "How about... you make a couple more."

Mike replied, "Don't get too greedy. These four are incredibly powerful helpers. They'll be more than enough for your needs."

"You can believe in us!"

Might Guy flashed Nick Fury a thumbs-up, grinning broadly and revealing a set of immaculately white teeth.

Nick Fury considered this for a moment, then, with a hint of a smile, he addressed the four. "Nick Fury. You can all just call me Fury."

"We know of you, Mr. Fury."

Hatake Kakashi replied in his typical lazy tone, "Master already 'informed' us about you. My name is Hatake Kakashi. It will be a pleasure working together."

"Might Guy!"

"Kurenai Yuhi."

"Asuma Sarutobi."

After the four gave their simple introductions, Nick Fury leaned closer to Mike and asked in a low voice, "What kind of abilities do they have?"

"They are ninja. They are masters of assassination, intelligence gathering, and carrying out missions like pursuit or protection. As for their specific abilities, you can ask them yourself."

Mike replied dismissively, then added, "Alright, now get ready to head to Kent Star."

Nick Fury nodded. "I'll go gather my people."

He knew Kent Star possessed transportation technology; as long as he assembled everyone, they could be teleported directly to Kent Star.

"No need!"

Mike placed a hand on Nick Fury's shoulder. "Just have them prepare the ships. A portal will open in a moment, and you can just fly the Helicarriers straight through it."

"Fly them through?"

Nick Fury was startled.

It seemed he had still greatly underestimated the power of Kent Star.

"If that's the case, then we are ready to depart at any time."

Mike nodded, then reached up and tapped the ring on his thumb a couple of times.

The ring glowed faintly, projecting a beam of light. The holographic image of Jor-El appeared above the ring.

"Jor, open the portal."

This was a program avatar created by Jor-El, capable of helping him handle simple tasks.

"Understood."

Jor-El gave a slight smile and vanished. At the same instant, the space not far from the Helicarrier was torn asunder by blue energy which then stabilized, forming a massive transportation portal.

"So? Not bad, right?"

Mike lightly patted Nick Fury on the shoulder.

Nick Fury opened his mouth, then simply shook his head with a wry smile.

"The things you do are always far beyond my imagination."

With that, he walked to the railing at the edge of the bridge, looked down at the agents below, and bellowed, "Everyone, prepare to move! We're passing through the portal ahead! We are going to Kent Star!"

Hearing this, the agents erupted in cheers.

Nick Fury had already given them a heads-up about the move to Kent Star half an hour earlier.

Ever since they saw Mike appear beside Nick Fury, they had all been discreetly observing the two, anxiously waiting for the outcome of their conversation.

Now the result was in. They could finally go to Kent Star. Their long, aimless period of drifting was finally, finally coming to an end.

Looking at the cheering agents, Nick Fury allowed himself a genuine smile.

Many of them hadn't set foot on solid ground for a very long time; they had almost forgotten what it felt like to simply walk on the earth.

After a few seconds, the cheers gradually subsided. The three Helicarriers advanced, surging forward toward the massive portal.

Although the portal was only a few hundred meters away, the very instant they passed through it, the scenery before their eyes transformed completely.

The agents, Nick Fury included, were all looking around with immense curiosity, taking in the sights of Kent Star.

The three Helicarriers, having suddenly appeared in the sky above Kent City, naturally attracted the attention of the city's residents. However, they showed no signs of panic.

This was because, over this period, they had already seen many different kinds of spaceships arriving, all of them delivering vital supplies.

At this moment, onboard the Helicarriers.

Upon their arrival at Kent Star, and after Mike had confirmed it with Nick Fury, he had already allowed Jor-El to take control of the three Helicarriers' navigation.

"Jor, take them to the headquarters of the Super-Powered Police Department."

Mike gave the simple command, and the Helicarriers began to move.

"Jor? Who is that?"

Nick Fury asked in a hushed tone. He had been wanting to ask ever since the hologram first appeared.

"The other administrator of Kent Star. You will be dealing with him frequently in the future. Although he is an artificial intelligence, he possesses his own genuine emotions."

"What?"

Nick Fury's eye narrowed sharply.

"Don't worry."

Mike glanced at Nick Fury, knowing exactly what the man was worried about.

It was nothing more than the fear that Jor-El would become the next Ultron.

Nick Fury nodded slowly.

With Mike's assurance, he felt significantly more at ease.

Nick Fury walked back to the edge of the command center, looking down at the city spread out below.

He saw that the city below was remarkably orderly. The streets were clean and neat, tall buildings stood in rows, and it looked almost no different from any other bustling, prosperous metropolis.

"This is... simply a miracle..."

Nick Fury breathed, full of wonder.

He had to remind himself that from the start of Kent City's construction until now, only three months had passed.

In just three months, an entire city had already taken fundamental shape. That speed of construction was absolutely terrifying.

Mike smiled. "They've worked very hard. Plus, many of the mutants have abilities that are extremely convenient for use in urban construction."

Nick Fury nodded, continuing to survey the city below.

A few moments later, Mike's voice sounded out.

"We've arrived."

Nick Fury quickly looked over.

He saw a large, open plot of land not far away, with a single, solitary building rising from its center.

"This building was just recently completed. If you need anything for it, you can contact either Jor or Hank 'Beast' McCoy."

Mike flipped his hand over, and a ring appeared in his palm.

Nick Fury took it.

"This ring, aside from being used to contact Jor, is primarily used for location-based teleportation. Only individuals who possess this ring can summon Jor to open a portal at any time."

Nick Fury carefully secured the ring.

In the time it took to explain, the Helicarriers had already landed in the open area behind the main building.

"Let's go. Charles is already on his way over. If you have any questions, you can ask him."

With that said, Mike began to walk toward the exit of the Helicarrier.

Kakashi and the other three quickly followed him out.

Nick Fury nodded to the agents gathered below him. "From now on," he announced, "this is our new home."

Starting today, they were no longer wanted S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on the run. They were now super-powered agents and super-powered police officers of the Kent Star Super-Powered Police Department.

The agents' faces were overflowing with happy smiles as they followed Nick Fury, disembarking from the Helicarriers.

Nick Fury scanned the large, empty plot of land, and a preliminary plan for its construction and modification already began to form in his mind.

"Fury!"

A somewhat familiar voice called out. Nick Fury turned to look.

He saw a bald man standing there together with Mike.

Looking at the bald head gleaming under the sun, Nick Fury instinctively squinted his eye, then said with surprise, "You're Charles?"

"It's me."

"Your... head..."

"It's my new hairstyle."

Charles maintained his pleasant smile, acting as if this bald look was a deliberate style he had chosen.

"Alright," Mike said, looking between the two of them. "You two can discuss the next steps yourselves. I'm heading back."

As he spoke, he couldn't resist reaching out to rub Charles's bald head.

Man, that texture.

Charles's expression darkened.

Slacking off again...

"Dad, what about the construction of our home? Aren't you going to make a plan for it?" Charles couldn't help but ask.

"You can just handle it as you see fit."

"Dad!" Charles said sternly. "This is our home. You can't just dump the entire responsibility on me."

If he built it and it wasn't to his father's satisfaction, he got a headache just imagining that scenario.

"In that case, let's find a time for everyone to discuss it together. We'll hold a family meeting." Mike made a decision, rubbing his chin. "As for the specific time, I'll notify you all later."

Three sons, and not a single one of them was at home.

"Good, it's settled then!"

Charles finally broke into a relieved smile.

"Then I'll head back first. Contact me anytime if anything comes up."

Mike said his piece, gave a nod to Kakashi and the other three who were standing by, and then opened a portal and departed.

Watching the portal slowly close, Charles turned to Fury. "Let's go. We need to discuss the Super-Powered Police Department."

"Where's Erik?" Nick Fury asked curiously.

"He's not on Kent Star right now," Charles replied, a hint of envy in his voice. "He's off on other planets, gathering resources."

He gave Nick Fury a light pat on the arm. "Come on. First, let's get your people settled in and take them to get their identity cards. After that, I'll give you a proper tour."

"Sounds good."

Nick Fury nodded.

He also wanted to understand Kent Star better. After all, this was going to be the place where he lived and worked from now on.

...

Planet Contraxia.

This was a planet dedicated to providing entertainment, specifically for Ravagers.

At this very moment, a large contingent of Ravagers was gathered here.
