On the way back to the Franklin family villa, Carson spoke up. "Boss, I don't understand."
William was resting with his eyes closed and said calmly, "Speak."
"Why don't you just tell Miss Collins everything directly? From what I see, the boss's wife still has feelings for you."
"Is that so?"
"Yes." Carson glanced at William through the rearview mirror. "Miss Collins is someone who values emotions deeply. How could she forget you completely in just a year?"
William said calmly, "Even if she hasn't forgotten, she no longer has any expectations. Even if I explain, it might not get a response from her."
"Why do you think that?" Carson asked softly. "I think what Miss Collins wants is your sincerity..."
"Words are never as convincing as actions. Besides, this past year, she thought I had ignored her completely, so she wouldn't believe what I say."
