"I don't understand what you're saying." William's expression darkened, showing how much he cared about Mia's words. "In our past marriage, we respected each other, didn't we?"
"Respected each other?" Mia snorted, her tone sarcastic. "William, we never respected each other. Because I was obsessed with you, you played with my feelings at will... At first, you gave me the cold shoulder, hoping I would give up. Then, out of nowhere, you were nice to me, hoping I would stay by your side. It seemed like I was someone you could take and leave as you pleased."
He looked at her, a sense of defeat in his eyes.
She took a deep breath, hiding her current sadness, and said, "I once told you that once I walked away, I wouldn't turn back. So, leave... There's no possibility for us anymore."
