Ethan knew that saying these things to Mia didn't make her feel better. He sighed deeply. "Just forget about him!"
Mia lowered her teary eyes and looked at the baby in her arms with wide eyes. The little guy was grabbing her clothes, looking very happy.
"Did you find a place for me?" she suddenly asked Ethan.
Ethan's gaze shifted from the baby's tender face, and he answered her, "There's a small town in England called Shur. The people there live simple and peaceful lives. The town has a hospital, a school, and shops... Though it's not as bustling as a big city, being there makes you feel like the whole world is peaceful and beautiful. Most importantly, the people there are very friendly. You and the child can live a very ordinary and peaceful life there."
She could almost imagine what the town looked like...
In the evening, the sunlight would be on her, lying lazily in a recliner, with the child playing on her stomach, and the old lady next door greeting her...
