"I don't need to tell you the reason... If you want to spread the news of my fake death, I don't mind. It's the way of the world; the victor takes all."

William looked down at Aiden with a superior air.

Mrs. Collins gripped Aiden's arm tightly and finally couldn't help but speak up, "Aiden, I've told you to let it go... Why are you so stubborn? Can't you see your daughter happy with the man she loves and let go of your resentment?"

Mrs. Collins's words made Aiden's body tremble slightly.

Mrs. Collins continued, "Aiden, have you ever thought about how disappointed and hurt Mia would be if she found out her father was hiding from her, secretly fighting with her husband, and ultimately wanting to destroy him?"
