Chapter 449 - When Love Isn’t Simple

Mia didn't leave with her parents, but she was prepared to go, and she wouldn't put her father in danger.

William called Mia before he returned, and everything seemed normal during their conversation.

The next day at noon, William returned to the Franklin residence.

Downstairs, he saw his parents playing with Lucas. William picked up his son, kissed him, and played with him affectionately for a while before going upstairs.

Mia knew William was home. When he opened the door, she was standing by the room's floor-to-ceiling window, clearly waiting for him.

Strangely, neither of them had revealed their concerns during the phone call, but the atmosphere was no longer as sweet as it was before William went to New York.

There were only the two of them in the room, and the air felt thick, almost suffocating.

"Is what my father and Ethan told me true?" Facing him, her chest tightened with pain, and she didn't want to beat around the bush.
