Chapter 563 - Noldrei: You've Lived This Long for Nothing?

"This isn't light as we normally understand it..."

Tesla had completely lost interest in Sa. Her entire focus was on studying Noldrei's form.

Theoretically, as long as one could construct a network similar to the interactive structure of brainwaves, one could create a lifeform that gives birth to consciousness. This lifeform would successfully inherit all the activities of life.

Because the structure of life is different, the universe seen by life is also different.

In human eyes, the universe is desolate and dark, but in Noldrei's eyes, it was likely completely different.

"The universe is actually filled with various cosmic rays that we can't see. We can't see their visible range, but in Noldrei's eyes, it's completely different. In fact, it's different in my eyes too. The reason he keeps emphasizing that he's suppressing himself to accommodate humans isn't because he's just talking big and looking down on people."

"In this state of life, the observed universe isn't dark, but a universe filled with all sorts of colorful lights, like a candy house, a large water tank filled with various dyes."

"You can imagine it as pouring all sorts of dyes into a fish tank at the same time. Then, you can see the planets wandering in the dye-infused water."

"That's not just photons. It's the visible light of which we can only see a small part. There are even cosmic ray powers in there that we don't know about."

"This is the body that roams naked in the universe."

"This is the outstanding living weapon created by humanity!"

Tesla had always wondered what the lifeform of a human adapted to the universe would look like. But she never imagined that the movement of photons itself could construct the consciousness of life.

Now that she had the answer, the next question was how to do it.

Einstein had also discovered the abnormality of Imaginary Energy and Honkai Energy. According to the circumstances of the birth of all previous matter and energy, the generation of energy from any matter originates from the motion of the matter itself, and there are universal connections between things.

In other words, the more powerful the energy, the stronger the influence it produces.

That might still be a bit vague.

So, let's take the simplest example: the sun!

The sun's mass is there, and at the same time, it has a terrifying influence on its surroundings. The changes produced by the energy emitted by the sun will cause the four fundamental forces to twist and change simultaneously.

In other words, if Honkai Energy exists, the energy level it can construct is very high. The influence it produces should be correspondingly huge, but what was the result?

It was very stable, even on the same level as Imaginary Energy. The Honkai Crystals it created were even more stable than energy sources like oil and natural gas.

The higher the energy, the greater the impact of the motion of matter, and the harder it is to maintain a stable state in practical application.

Honkai Energy and Imaginary Energy both violated this law.

If it weren't for Noldrei, Einstein would probably have thought these energies were a part of the universe. But after Noldrei told her about a universe without Honkai Energy and Imaginary Energy, Einstein began to doubt the reason for their existence.

Sa was facing an unprecedented crisis. The quanta were being forcibly torn apart, and a large number of unknown rays were bombarding the 'star-gate' that connected to the Sea of Quanta.

She wanted to escape, but her body was completely controlled, trapped in a state of paralysis.

Photons pierced through every connecting structure of her life, completely robbing Sa of her ability to resist.

"Who! Who are you?!"

The vibrations in space transmitted information. The changes in the wave frequency let Noldrei know what Sa was trying to say to him.

"..."

Noldrei was a bit speechless. At a time like this, she still wanted to know who her enemy was?

In a primitive jungle, you can only identify friend or foe by the sound of gunfire, but that gunshot often determines whether you live or die.

The current Sa was just a toy under Noldrei's control. Why would he care about her emotions?

Sa had not expected such a situation. Her original intention was just to find a place without enemies to settle down, then arrange for puppets and avatars to carefully probe the area.

But as soon as she landed, she discovered the power of the Cocoon of Finality fluctuating. This power had far surpassed that of the civilization on Venus in its heyday.

So Sa instinctively believed that the "Abyss" had found her again, with the purpose of erasing the last traces of civilization.

She was confident she could escape from the Cocoon's grasp, but...

A sudden lifeform blocked her path, completely destroying all her escape possibilities. In this force of pure matter, there was no infiltration of the Cocoon's energy. In fact, this guy was just using cosmic rays to build its body.

Like a plant absorbing water and nutrients, like an animal eating other food, this lifeform was simply absorbing and devouring cosmic rays with a structure she didn't understand to strengthen itself.

This wasn't the Cocoon! Definitely not the Cocoon!

The moment they made contact, Sa knew she had lost.

She was unwilling. She just wanted to know who her enemy was, what she had lost to.

Noldrei didn't really want to bother with this thing, but not bothering with it was also a bit of a problem. Because this thing, just like the human Herrschers on Earth, liked to take on all sorts of flashy forms.

The volcanic activity on Venus was intensifying, just like Earth's activity many years ago. Its core was constantly reviving, gaining new life.

Sa watched all of this, an incredible question arising from the bottom of her heart.

This energy was undoubtedly brought by the being before her. The intensified activity on Venus meant that the material activity on it would also reawaken the changes in organic matter.

"You... why do you maintain a primitive human form in space?"

Noldrei asked his question.

Maintaining a human form on a terrestrial planet was one thing; after all, that place was indeed suitable for the human form to survive. But in space, wasn't maintaining a human form a bit redundant?

"..."

Sa fell into silence. She had never expected Noldrei to ask such a question.

What's wrong with the human form? Did primitive humans provoke you in some way?

"How long have you lived?"

Noldrei asked again.

After a long silence, Sa gave her answer.

Noldrei was suddenly shocked and asked in confusion, "You've lived this long and you're only this? Our one-hundred-and-thirty-thousand-year-old civilization is enough to wipe the floor with you."

If Sa could vomit blood, she would have done so by now.

"You haven't even changed your form of existence, let alone created a lifeform that can control its own energy. What have you been doing all this time you've been alive?"

Noldrei's words were like sharp swords, piercing Sa's heart.
