Chapter 809 - Noldrei: Let's Go. Time to Sleep with March.

Place two scenes side-by-side, then leave the consciousness in a state of chaos.

When you enter the dream-within-a-dream, it will automatically transfer your consciousness into another dream "box" while leaving a false shell of you behind in the original spot.

That way, to others, it creates the appearance that you are simply dreaming.

The nested structure is more straightforward. It simply creates a new body for you within the dream, allowing that body to re-simulate the state of sleeping, thereby letting you enter the dream-within-a-dream world.

Given the special energetic substance that was Memoria, Noldrei tentatively chose to believe in the possibility of a dream-within-a-dream setting.

Stelle didn't quite grasp Noldrei's concerns. As far as her own experience went, she wouldn't be able to tell the difference either way.

The four members of the Express crew walked to a quieter, less crowded corner of the hotel lobby.

Himeko let out a long sigh. "Alright, March, you can wake up now. Do you remember where you are?"

March 7th blinked. "Didn't we just arrive at The Reverie Hotel in Penacony?" she asked, a little dazed.

Mr. Yang pressed a hand to his forehead. He had noticed from the very beginning that March 7th hadn't adjusted at all. The girl was completely immersed in the dream.

"Wake up, little March. On second thought... just don't forget our important mission."

Himeko couldn't be bothered trying to wake her either. In any case, Noldrei, on the outside, would be responsible for waking March 7th at the appropriate time.

March's eyes lit up. "I know, I know! Our job is to make people believe we already know the secret of the Clockmaker's Legacy, right? I definitely remember our mission, Sister Himeko, so don't you worry. Right now, I just want to put my stuff away and lie down in my room for a bit!"

Stelle just smiled faintly, glossing over the awkward subject.

She explained to Himeko and Mr. Yang, "Noldrei already told me. He's going to find a way to investigate how The Family monitors the dreamscape, so let's not worry too much for now. To be able to create such a massive, interconnected Memoria dream means The Family has even deeper methods of control."

"I might take some time to run around and explore as much as I can..."

Mr. Yang felt it was a bit much to ask of Stelle, but she was the only one who could accept having her senses shared like this.

"We're putting you through a lot, Stelle. Try to wander around and have some fun here. I have quite a few credits left; I'll transfer some to you."

With that, Mr. Yang transferred a large sum of credits to Stelle, finally allowing her to experience a life of luxury.

No more rummaging through trash cans, boys!

March 7th looked completely baffled. "What about me? What about me? Why don't I get any?!" she asked.

Himeko sighed helplessly, placating her. "Don't worry, you'll get some too. Just stick with me."

"Yay! Sister Himeko is the best!" March 7th cheered, already the one who had forgotten the most and was having the most fun.

After their brief meeting, the four of them went their separate ways to their respective rooms.

Although March 7th had noticed that something was off, she knew Mr. Yang and Himeko were keeping an eye on things from above. For her, all she needed to do was enjoy the vacation.

But it was different for Stelle. She arrived at the room prepared especially for her.

Rose Platinum Suite, Room 666.

When Stelle reached the door of Room 666, she was surprised to find someone else inside her room: the man named Aventurine.

'*There's someone in my room?*'

[Ignore him. We're going to March 7th's room to lie down and sleep.]

Stelle was stunned. She hadn't expected Noldrei to completely refuse to play along with their little game.

[The so-called room change was superfluous to begin with. That guy, Sunday, even went out of his way to upgrade our rooms. Why? Couldn't he have just put you in Dan Heng's originally assigned room?]

[The more they do, the clearer their objective becomes. Their goal is to get us to stay in a place they've arranged.]

[Ignore him. Just leave. We'll go directly to March 7th's room. There's no need to step into a save point that's so obviously been set up in advance.]

'*Badass! My man is firm!*'

Stelle gave Noldrei a mental thumbs-up.

She turned and walked away without a second's hesitation, not even thinking about entering the room.

As for how long the person inside would wait? What a joke. What did that have to do with her?

I, the Galactic Baseballer, just want to sleep with March 7th. Is there a problem?

What?!

We, the Astral Express crew, just like to book four suites and have two people stay together. Is there a problem?

Of course not!

March 7th stared in shock as Stelle opened her door and walked right in. She had been all set to lie down in the pool and go to sleep. She never would have expected Stelle to barge into her room so brazenly.

"Stelle, what are you doing?"

"Sleeping with you!" Stelle said with a serious expression.

"Whoa, isn't this... isn't this a bit much? Wait... I guess... there's no rule that says we can't sleep together, is there?"

March 7th frantically scanned the rules on the room key. Indeed, it said nothing about forbidding two people from sharing the same pool to sleep.

"This is allowed?!!"

March 7th was quite shaken. She felt this hotel was getting a bit too ridiculous.

Stelle explained, "There's someone waiting in my room. I suspect that person is up to something. So I decided to avoid them and come find you. I'm just gonna crash here for the night. I haven't even put my stuff down yet, so I'll just leave it in your room for now."

Hearing this, March 7th immediately became vigilant. "Is the person a man or a woman? Should we report it to The Family of Penacony to handle?"

Stelle shook her head. "There's no need. That person is in cahoots with the actual manager, Sunday. Think about it. I was supposed to just stay in Dan Heng's room, but instead, they upgraded us and moved us into a new place they arranged."

"When a task is completely unnecessary and redundant, you need to consider whether you should accept such 'kindness.'"

March 7th was astonished. She looked at Stelle in shock and said, "How did you suddenly get so smart?!"

Stelle grinned. "It's nothing. This is just growth!"

[Those are my lines.]

'*It's fine. Is it okay that March is so slow on the uptake? It looks like she's even forgotten about you. Should I find a chance for you to slip into her room, take over her senses, and wake her up?*'

[She was the one who resisted the sensory sharing the most. If I did something like that, I'd probably have to suffer her attacks on the Express every day.]

'*Don't worry, you just have to buy her something nice. She's easy to fool!*'

[Wow, that's harsh!]

'*Are you copying me!*'
