Chapter 24 - Ineffable

If asked how many children did Akane have on Kokoro Island: a person will say one, 'Lucien,' her biological son. However, she adopted two children: Shinji and Sora. She didn't take them in because they had their ways of survival. Whenever they met, they would call her 'Mama,' because of how much of an important figure she was to them.

Now, those three children of hers were fighting nearly 2 000 people.

Sora wasn't doing much, swinging around the trees, hiding the position of the archer... the good words for him are: 'archer of death.'

Whoosh! Thack! Whoosh! Thack!

The Kushi Villagers were forced to hide behind trees thanks to Shinji's 300% accuracy. No matter which angle Sora swung him to, he made a perfect hit. It looked like an onslaught, but that wasn't even the threshold for the Kushi Villagers.

Bang—!

Lucien's silver otsuchi impetuously clashed with a cedar tree, crushing it towards the group. The action was sudden, killing both allies and enemy. Desperate cries... of struggle rang in the air from those who had their bones dislocated by the trunk.

"Ahhh! Someone save me! My legs!"

"My hand! My hand is broken!"

"My gonads, they are no more! I've become eunuch! Kill me now!"

—My condolences.

Lucien didn't care, swaying around his otsuchi like it was a stalk of grass. Ice in his eyes, his glare lands on the Kushi Villagers who now had their locations exposed, thinking:

'There is something about these guys that's troubling me.'

He dropped the imminent thoughts before they arrive, focusing on the battle.

Whoosh!

With a gentle motion, three Kushi Villagers were taken out alerting the others. However, the hammer was already dropping on the next victims like a comet.

Cra-cra-crack-! The sound of bones shattering apart echo in the air, before a loud sound followed: Bang!

The Kushi Villagers charged at Lucien. He was too dangerous to be left alive. However, the red-hair had his hammer... blades and spears were broken before their users were taken care of. Attacking him at the back was useless thanks to Shinji's arrows.

The Kurenai Villagers were left in a state we like to call inefável or indescritível in Portuguese —ineffable. They knew Lucy was strong; him digging 80% of the Hill Cat rock layer was a testament to that. However, they didn't expect him to be this much...

He was toying with human lives, breaking their bodies to a point one would commit seppuku when let alive by mistake.

Two unlucky souls were sent into the air by the otsuchi... high enough, they saw heaven, before pulverizing back to the earth's surface, sending them to hell.

Upon this sight, cries echoed from the Kushi Villagers they had lost a total of 715 members in 3 minutes. Lucy's silver hammer was another thing, but Shinji's infinite arrows —Sora is picking them— are just as butt-clenching.

"Run for your lives!"

"We weren't hired for such monsters!"

"We need to report the situation!"

Seeing the group asunder, Lucien stood still, inciting Shinji and Sora to jump to were Tsukino was.

Lucy's body had accumulated a lot of strength from his kills. Although it didn't suit well with him, he had to use the chance:

One human life brings an increase of 1% it didn't matter who, and one profound beast brought 0.53% no matter the stage, even bugs.

This is how the maths worked out for him at the current moment.

Still feeling sluggish with all the increase in strength, Lucien decides to finish the Kushi Villagers. He didn't want to get eyes on him at the point.

Gripping the handle of his hammer, he spins around, creating a whirlwind around himself, before releasing it.

Bang!! A thunderous roar echoed in the air.

The hammer moved in circles, crashing everything in sight. Trees were uprooted, Kushi Villagers were slaughtered, or buried by the trees leaving them crying for the angel of death to kill them. Unfortunately, some unlucky Kurenai Village mortals were done in too.

After 2 minutes, the hammer went to the ground. A part of the lush green savanna forest was left in a state the word mayhem couldn't describe alone.

The Kurenai Village mortals were still in their ineffable states. Trying to come up with an expression for such a scene would indicate how stupid they are.

After returning to the camp, Shinji hugged all the glory to himself, taking Lucy's credit, making him appear the superstar. Those who knew the truth stayed silent on the agenda... like it was all a dream.

***

Night arrived, and a woman in her Middle Ages stood where Lucy's had destroyed, gazing at the place with a pale, flabbergasted apprehension.

"All our forces were done in by three people?"

"2 people," A cold voice answered from behind her, "The other was swinging about."

The middle-aged woman shudders lightly, her face becoming more horrid, "Are you sure... those two were mortals? All our forces were samurai from our Academies we hired. They had Tama to enhance their bodies, they wouldn't have lost to mortals!"

Turning around, the middle-aged woman coldly looks at the green-eyed maiden behind her. Ire visible in her next words:

"You might be the Shojo of the Kurenai Village, but this is going overboard! I need an explanation or-!"

"Or, what?"

Lila cut her words in a more wintry tone, her hand fiercely grabbing the middle-aged woman by the hair.

"The one who needs an explanation is me. Why did you bring Tama-Artists to a battle of mortals?"

The middle-aged woman suppressed the pain in her head by laughing.

"You know how things are in our village. The mortals refused to come because the amount of kuns we were giving them was insufficient. So, we were left with no option but to send our young talents for a few kuns."

"Huh? But you had the money to hire a Shinrei to control profound beasts from the background."

The person Shinji shot when Lucy kicked the tree was a Shinrei. He was hiding using an invisibility Tama, but wasn't a match for Lucien's mystic eyes.

Lila didn't wait for an explanation, and killed the Shojo of Kushi Village by exploding her body into chunks of flesh.

Turning around, she thought of the words a certain beige-light-brown haired boy had said, and smiled —she went this far for him.

"I didn't slap you because you were touching me, but because you stopped touching me."
