Chapter 48 - Wisdom Tier

It was auspiciously sunny on the sixth day of the sixth month called Duna. Winter had ended in some parts of Kokoro Island, and it was now early-spring. The temperatures were increasingly hot, but on this day it was slightly chilly.

Near the beach of Kokoro Island where palm trees swung on about. A couple had decided to rest there. The girl lay on the boy's lap, while he caresses her long light blue hair.

It was a peaceful moment until the girl asks:

"Shinjikun can I ask you a question?"

The young man brings his gaze to her, removing his hair from her pretty face.

"Go on."

"Although your poems are lame. These days, you don't compose some for me or even tell me jokes. Why is that?"

"Ah...uh."

Shinji moved his mouth slightly. Thinking back to why he did those things, a smug smile appears on his face.

"You see those fish dancing in the ocean?"

Although her gaze was focused on Shinji's chin, she nods. Who cares about fish when your man is the most beautiful site in the world?

"When you catch one of them, you don't feed it any more bait. Instead, you eat it silently. I don't need to tell you who is the fish, right?"

Lila mumbled on her lips, fury penetrating her bones.

She was just a step away from biting his hand, when Shinji confessed:

"That's the joke I have today."

The young girl was caught in between two things: cry and laughter. Shinji always has a way to make her feel emotions she never did for.

"I ha..."

Not giving her time to finish her words, the man in the scholar robe pasted his lips on her.

Lila's mind went past all the galaxies of the universe, but she couldn't stay in space any longer as Shinji pulled his head to its original position.

"Don't say things you don't mean."

Shinji said equanimously, his deep voice ringing in Lila's ear like a melodic, electronic dance song.

Placing his hand on her inner thigh, he kisses her, before he whispers, "It's fantastic, you know?"

Lila was still caught in the moment. Her green eyes blinking in a flustered sentiment. Shinji is an amateur in romance and him touching her made her body quiver slightly —his hands had the best grip and pressure.

'Please do this more often!'

With a red blush on her face, she asks, "What is?"

"I think about you all the time and all the things I want to say to you. However, when I see you... I mean, when I see you, I tend to run out of words. All the questions, all the dirty little things that form in my mind vanish.

"Even my assembly of elders fuse into one when you're around."

"Assembly of Elders?"

Lila's voice carried a lot of curiosity on these words. However, she didn't get any answer right then, as Shinji begins to devour her lips again, his hands moving a few centimeters to the top of her yukata.

'He is sad... does that make him more intimate? Or It's just today?...'

His voice cut through her thoughts:

"When I was young, I didn't have any friends so to make up for it, I made the Assembly of Elders in my mind. It's just me using my different personalities to talk to myself and make time pass by."

Lila stayed silent, placing her hand on his face. It was gloomy, but something was holding back his tears.

She knew his past was twisted; when she asked about it a few days before, she got something like:

"I had my first kill when I was 7. I went to those who bullied me by day, burning their houses at night."

Or.

"I'ld spread false rumors about a person; people would eventually gang up on them for their behavior. Well... most of the time, the Tama-Artists did the job for me."

Or.

"I would wait for them to turn around, and stone them to death. No head is too thick for a brick, right?"

She told him to reflect on his actions, and swore to never say such things to their unborn children... part of her said he was right, but such behavior couldn't be passed on.

In the end, she gave it time. However, now that he is saying something related to his past she felt downhearted —she doesn't want to see him like this. What made it worse is because she is the one who suggested that they should open up to each other.

A tear escaped her left eye, forcing herself to change the topic, "Tell me honestly... what does your Tama do?"

Shinji's face takes a 180 degree shift in expression. Looking at Lila, a chuckle escapes his thin lips.

"As the second Villain Rehabilitator..."

"Damn it."

Lila unexpectedly cursed, prompting him to stop. With a vexed look, she explains.

"My crazy brother calls himself that."

"Oh!"

Shinji looked at her with intrigue in his hazel eyes.

"I'm already a friend to my brother-in-law."

Lila felt weak all over her body, she wanted to cry for always running into these kinds of men. But deep down, she knew it was blatant since every male except those at the top like the First Tama-Artist.

Seeing Lila's gloomy expression, Shinji kisses her cherry lips to make her feel better. She wanted to kiss him more, but his lips were gone within a minute.

With a blissful face, he says:

"What my Tama does is related to something the First Tama-Artist spoke about, so pay close attention."

Lila wanted to scream that stop and kiss me more... but the young man was already into explaining.

"Everything originates from Light. That's the one to create this universe; from it came wisdom which gave birth to design. After that, Origin matters were created, before Life —the last Origin matter."

Lila stopped listening, and started playing with his hand. She didn't want to think of the times her crazy brother forced education into her.

'Why?! Why?!... I hate my life! I can't believe my Shinji is one of them...'

"Everything that exist has matter; the more it goes away from the Origin, the more harmful it becomes... creating death —a non-existent matter.

"My initial Tama, makes me create matter which is not in the form of any Origin matter. I can't create water, but other liquids since water has a part of life. Everything I make is based on what I like it to be as long as it has matter.

"Furthermore, I can even make a lifeless human body. The only downside is that what I make has to come from any part of my body.

"I don't have a name for it, any suggestions, my ignorant wife?"

"Huh?"

Lila was stunned by being called wife, and asked.

"Repeat what you just say."

A vein pops up on Shinji's forehead.

"I don't need that breathing technique you promised. Relaxing is the best way to absorb Rei from an Origin matter. Also, I can make my own Rei."

Lila was left speechless; before she could ask anything, Shinji opens his mouth. In the next second, a huge concentration of red Rei shot from him with a gentle whoosh, before vanishing into the atmosphere.

She blinked a few times, sensing the Rei in his primordial space already nearing hers.

'What monster did I create?'

'He is like my elder brother!'

'This is bad!'
