Chapter 126 - 124: Time Skip

I'm currently balancing my university studies with writing, and things can get pretty tight. If you enjoy my work, even a $1 donation on Patreon makes a massive difference in helping me cover my education expenses.

Also, I'm going to create a new fanfic, so there are a few voting polls to decide on the story will continue. I would appreciate it if you can go to my Patreon and cast your vote. The more feedback, the better.

Weeks went by since Kira joined Fairy Tail. In these past weeks, the Ishgar continent had been boiling because of what happened.

One by one, the dark guilds connected to the slave trade and the Tower of Paradise were being completely wiped out. Every few days, the Magic Council would receive reports of another hidden stronghold turned into a graveyard. There were no survivors, no witnesses, and absolutely no clues left behind. The entire underworld was in a state of absolute panic, making everyone feel like they were sitting on pins and needles.

The most scared were the high-ranking officials in the Magic Council. After all, most of these dark guilds were indirectly or directly involved with them. Especially Chairman Crawford, as the person who gets most of the cuts from these dark guilds, he felt like his heart was bleeding when he learned that many dark guilds are being destroyed.

You know, with the R system discovery, many dark guilds were made to use as scapegoats, limiting his income. Although at that time he got enough compensation, his earnings were still affected. This is why he prevented many dark guild subjugation missions from appearing in the guilds.

But with such a killer on the line, how could he stay calm? So he used his full authority and commanded the council troops to investigate who was doing this. At the very least, he needs to explain why and how he is targeting these dark guilds.

Unfortunately, Crawford didn't know that the whole situation happened because he had left his magic totem in his office. Otherwise, he would surely have died coughing up blood.

While Crawford was panicking and sending his troops everywhere, the Fairy Tail guild hall was completely peaceful and fun.

"Come on, Kira! Let's fight again!" Erza shouted, wiping sweat from her face on the training field behind the guild.

Kira stood a few steps away, looking completely relaxed with a smile. Over the past few weeks, his life had been very simple and nice. He spent his days talking with the guild members, eating, and helping Erza train to get stronger.

"You are moving too fast, Erza," Kira said softly, easily dodging her attacks. " If you only think about power, you leave yourself completely open."

Erza gritted her teeth and didn't let his words stop her. She focused her magic energy and instantly changed her clothes, her body glowing in a bright light as she swapped her regular outfit for a simple breastplate and trousers. Holding a basic iron sword, she rushed forward and swung it fast, trying to hit his side.

"Good change, but still too predictable," Kira said calmly.

Without even drawing a weapon, he stepped lightly to the side. The blade brushed past his clothes without touching him. Before Erza could recover from her swing, Kira tapped her wrist lightly with his fingers. The small tap made her grip loosen, and her sword slipped, burying its tip into the dirt.

Erza stumbled forward a bit, looking frustrated but amazed. Even though she only had a few simple weapons and pieces of armor right now, she tried her best. But no matter what she did, Kira always dodged her easily.

"How do you always see it coming?" Erza asked, letting out a heavy breath as she sat down on the grass to rest.

Kira walked over and handed her a cold bottle of water. "It's not just about seeing the attack with your eyes, Erza. It's about feeling the magic before the strike even happens. When you move, your magic pressure spikes right where you want to hit. If a strong enemy feels that, they will counter you instantly."

Erza took a sip of water, listening carefully to every word. She took his advice very seriously because she wanted to get stronger and protect her new home.

"Let's try it again," Erza said, standing back up with a determined look in her eyes. "This time, I will try to hide my magic."

Kira smiled softly and nodded his head. "Alright. Show me what you can do."

Erza smiled with confidence as she once again picked up her sword and swung it straight at him. This time, she tried her best to suppress her magic energy, keeping it hidden until the very last second.

Kira's eyes flashed with approval. Instead of dodging completely, he raised his hand and deflected the flat of her blade with the back of his hand, sending a small shockwave through the air.

"Much better," Kira praised, stepping back. "Keep that feeling. Again!"

And so, days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months.

Over the next few months, the back training field of Fairy Tail became their daily sanctuary. Kira put Erza through a strict but rewarding training routine. He didn't just teach her how to swing a sword; he taught her how to breathe, how to read the small muscle movements of her opponents, and how to control her magic flow smoothly. Every time Erza felt exhausted, Kira would be there to guide her, pushing her just enough to break her limits without breaking her body.

Under his careful guidance, Erza's growth was nothing short of amazing.

She learned how to swap between her iron sword, a short dagger, and a spear in the blink of an eye, mixing her magic with her fighting perfectly. Slowly, her true self as the future Titania began to show. Her confidence grew every single day, and the gloom in her eyes from the Tower of Paradise completely disappeared, replaced by a bright determination.

While Erza was training, the guild was also not slacking off. Akira, who was hunting the dark guilds, would still occasionally come back to take a short break and look at his sister's progress. During these times, he would be crowded by all the guild members, who begged him to help them get stronger too.

The first one to jump out was Mirajane. As soon as she saw Akira, she immediately dragged him away to train her. Just like in the original story, a fierce rivalry had started between Erza and Mira. Seeing Erza getting stronger after every single training session, Mirajane felt a huge sense of urgency, so she immediately made her request.

"Hey! You have to train me!" Mira demanded, crossing her arms and glaring at Akira with her usual stubborn attitude. "I won't let that sword-girl beat me!"

Akira looked down at the young Mira and chuckled softly under his mask. He could clearly see the fiery competitive spark in her eyes. Since he was already here to rest and check on the guild's safety, he didn't mind helping out the other future powerhouse of Fairy Tail.

"Alright, alright," Akira said, his voice calm and relaxed. "Show me your Take Over magic. Let's see what you can do."

And just like that, while Kira was training Erza, Akira began to train Mira. Of course, since Akira couldn't stay in the guild for a long time, he left a clone behind. This clone didn't just train Mira; he also helped any other guild members who wanted advice to get stronger.

Just like that, while the outside world was boiling with hidden trouble, Fairy Tail began to quietly grow stronger at a very fast pace.

Gradually, time went by; year X777 arrived.
