Chapter 280 - MCSDB Chapter 181 Holy War Begins Part 1

Melchaba's figure disappeared, and one by one, the Saint Warriors within the Sanctuary also departed. On the surface of the earth, a war erupted between Athena's Sanctuary and Poseidon's army of Saint Warriors and Generals.

Of course, this kind of war didn't attract much attention from the other Spiritual Gods.

After all, across the entire continent under the will of the gods, countless divine wars were breaking out.

Within the Greek Pantheon, the Twelve Olympians were waging war.

The Indian Pantheon, Ancient Egyptian Pantheon, Norse Pantheon, and Mayan Pantheon, one by one, each divine pantheon was also embroiled in battle.

The war between Athena and Poseidon was merely a microcosm of this era.

Waves surged, and majestic Cosmos energies clashed repeatedly.

This time, however, something unusual occurred in the war.

Melchaba's figure appeared on the battlefield. The sacred brilliance of the Aries Gold Sacred Cloth began to flicker for the first time.

"Boom!"

A powerful aura swept out. In the next moment, a figure was blasted away.

"Not bad at all! You've got some power! What's your name?" A chuckle echoed from the sky as a figure slowly emerged from the crashing waves, majestic Cosmos radiating in all directions. His gaze instantly locked onto Melchaba.

"Melchaba," He replied with a cold snort, his expression tense.

At this moment, he could clearly sense the powerful aura emanating from the figure before him.

This one was clearly one of the Seven Sea Warriors Generals.

The Sea Warriors wore armor called Scales, forged from divine steel, which made them invulnerable to any earthly weapon. Meanwhile, the warriors of the land had no armor capable of withstanding the attacks of the Sea Warriors, leading to successive defeats.

Melchaba had previously been severely wounded because of the Sea Warriors' Scale armor.

He hadn't expected to encounter another Sea Warriors General again so soon.

"I am Seahorse, you're very lucky. You get to die by my hand!" Seahorse chuckled casually, his demeanor relaxed as he spoke in an arrogant tone.

"Breath of the Gods!"

"Boom!"

In the next instant, a majestic Cosmos energy came crashing down, seemingly about to devour Melchaba in an instant.

All around him, a violent hurricane erupted.

Breath of the Gods, his signature move, summoned a fierce air current to launch a hurricane assault at his opponent, nearly at light speed, and with tremendous destructive force. In previous timelines, the fragile Cloths of the Saints had been almost instantly obliterated by this energy. He expected this time to be no exception.

But then something unexpected happened.

"Boom!"

"Bang!"

Melchaba was knocked back, but contrary to the Sea Warriors' expectations, his Sacred Cloth had not been destroyed by the energy. His body had not even sustained significant injuries.

An invisible wall of telekinesis had blocked all of the attacks.

"Seems you're stronger than those other weaklings," Seahorse said excitedly, his eyes now gleaming with anticipation.

The fact that Melchaba could block him had stirred his fighting spirit.

"Hmph!" Melchaba snorted coldly, and in the next moment, his own Cosmos erupted as well.

The two clashed once more. On one side stood one of the Seven Sea Warriors Generals. On the other, the newly emerged first Gold Saint of Sanctuary.

"Boom!"

"Rumble!"

Their battle now resembled a war that could last a thousand days.

But clearly, only Melchaba was managing to hold his own in the fight between the Sea Warriorss and Saint Warriors of the Sanctuary.

Elsewhere, they were still outmatched. The Sanctuary remained in a state of relative defeat.

"Boom!"

"Rumble!"

The battles continued to spread.

Within Sanctuary itself, numerous wounded had appeared.

Jiang Chen's figure now began rushing through the Sanctuary, using the power of time to continuously heal the injured Saints.

Time passed quietly.

This was not a war that would end in a short period.

Fortunately, with Jiang Chen present, as long as someone wasn't killed on the spot, he could bring them back from the brink of death.

Of course, even if they were killed, Jiang Chen could technically revive them. But after considering it, Jiang Chen chose not to engage in such reckless behavior.

He hadn't forgotten that this was a world filled with gods, and the Underworld Realm still had several rulers. If he violated the laws of the Underworld Realm, he could cause serious trouble for himself.

Given his current limited strength, it was best to be cautious.

Still, even just saving those near death was enough to let Sanctuary barely hold the line against Poseidon's Sea Warriors.

Especially in the time that followed, the twelve Gold Saints began to take their positions one by one. Even Jamil had already begun forging new Sacred Cloths.

Although these new Cloths weren't on the level of the Gold Cloths, they were clearly stronger than all the currently known Cloths.

This gave the Saint Warriors another quiet but substantial boost in power.

This increase, combined with Jiang Chen's continuous healing and the rich Cosmo energy radiating from Athena's temple, allowed the Saints to always unleash strength even in the most desperate of situations.

In contrast, the Saint Warriors hadn't shown any significant improvement in strength.

Naturally, the tide of battle began to shift.

Time passed silently.

In the blink of an eye, eight years had gone by.

Over these eight years, the Sanctuary had gone from struggling to survive to gradually reaching parity with the Sea Warriors.

The Saint Warriors even seemed to be gaining the upper hand as time went on. As for Jiang Chen, in these years, his name had become legendary throughout the Sanctuary.

Some even began to praise him as a noble soul, a divine-like presence who used his medical skills to heal the wounded and save the suffering, a figure of immense compassion and greatness, like a god.

Within the Sanctuary, whether it was the newly born Gold Saints or other Saint Warriors, all treated Jiang Chen with the utmost respect, so much so that their reverence even exceeded what they showed to the temple priests of Athena.

After all, over the past ten years of war with Poseidon, there was no one in Sanctuary who hadn't been saved by Jiang Chen.

Even the priests of Athena's temple had been saved by him.

Naturally, this resulted in his prestige rising to an unimaginable height. And since Athena herself didn't seem to mind, his reputation grew even greater.

Inside a room, Jiang Chen's gaze involuntarily fell on his Login interface.

"Three days left?" He muttered softly and fell into thought.

There were only three days remaining until it would be exactly ten years since his first login.
