Chapter 290 - MCSDB Chapter 186 The Widespread Eighth Sense Part 2

Yet even at that level, they had hit a wall.

They could no longer see a path forward, and they could no longer know which direction to take.

Their Cosmo felt like it had reached its absolute limit.

But in this very moment, Jiang Chen had carved out a road of light for them, beneath a sky that had once been shrouded in darkness. At the very least, at this moment, each of the Peak-Level Seventh Sense Saint Warriors could clearly see the path ahead.

And to them, that was more important than anything else.

From that day onward, in the Sanctuary, more and more Saint Warriors came to seek guidance from Jiang Chen.

The name Asclepius grew ever more respected and widespread throughout Sanctuary.

Everyone treated Jiang Chen with increasing reverence.

Of course, for Jiang Chen himself, life didn't change all that much. He did not directly participate in the war against the Sea God Poseidon.

Instead, he remained within Sanctuary. Though the main quest was to help Athena achieve final victory in the Holy War, there was no specified time limit, so Jiang Chen wasn't in a hurry.

Compared to that, his personal growth was his current top priority.

In his plans, if he could perfect the 88 Galaxies of Athena and reach the peak of the Seventh Sense, then even without awakening the Eighth Sense, his power might already rival that of a typical Second-Class God. If he could awaken the Eighth Sense, then he might even match some First-Class Spiritual Gods.

With that level of power, he would have a decisive role in the Holy War.

Unlike now, where, without using his Saiyan power, his strength was highly limited.

Let alone determining the Holy War's outcome, even surviving it would be a major problem.

As for using Saiyan power, Jiang Chen had no intention of doing so, at least, not yet.

After all, Saiyan power does not belong to this world's power system. The power system of the Saint Warrior universe was no joke. If he used that power during the Holy War and it attracted the attention of certain terrifying beings… That would be no laughing matter.

Right now, Jiang Chen didn't want to lose access to the Saint Warrior login path.

And so, in this kind of training-focused life, twenty years passed quietly. In the flow of future time and space, that was nearly a lifetime for an ordinary mortal.

But in this world, still in the Silver Age, even the lifespan of regular humans could reach several centuries, so twenty years was not that long.

Over these twenty years, the Sanctuary remained largely unchanged. On the towering Sacred Mountain, Athena's temple continued to shine with radiant brilliance.

A gentle Cosmo enveloped all of Sanctuary.

As for the outside world, the war between Athena's Sanctuary and Poseidon's sea domain had continued to rage for the past twenty years.

In that time, Sanctuary had gone from being completely suppressed to now only being slightly disadvantaged.

Poseidon's Sea Warriors had not gained much of an upper hand in the war.

In fact, out of Poseidon's seven Sea Generals, two had already been slain by the Warriors of the Sanctuary, and among the remaining five, several had suffered severe injuries.

By comparison, the Sanctuary no longer suffered the crushing losses it once had.

And the key reason for this turnaround?

It was none other than the birth of many new Sacred Cloths within the Sanctuary.

It all began with the forging of the twelve Golden Sacred Cloths.

As the twenty years passed, ten of those twelve had found worthy wielders, meaning that the Sanctuary now had ten Gold Saint Warriors.

Then, based on the power of the Gold Cloths, Jamil gradually created hundreds more Sacred Cloths.

These Sacred Cloths, like the Gold ones, were infused with their own Cosmo and will.

Once recognized by the Sacred Cloth, the Saint wearing it would experience a dramatic boost in strength.

Because of this, the Sanctuary's strength had soared unprecedentedly in the past twenty years. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before Sanctuary could truly rival Poseidon's divine sea domain.

Especially once all twelve Gold Saints were in place, Sanctuary's power would rise yet again, on top of its current might.

This gave the entire Sanctuary immense confidence.

The morning sunlight spilled across the land, heralding the arrival of a new day. From early morning, the whole of Sanctuary buzzed with activity.

Because today was the beginning of Sanctuary's once-every-ten-years Grand Tournament.

It was even said that the final two Golden Sacred Cloths would also make their appearance.

As long as one could claim the ultimate victory, there would be a chance to resonate with a Golden Sacred Cloth.

Over these twenty years, everyone had come to fully realize the overwhelming power of the Golden Cloths, and now, with the opportunity to earn one, excitement surged in everyone's hearts.

In an instant, a large number of Saint Warriors gathered at the tournament arena.

When the Grand Tournament began, the area around it erupted into noise and energy.

Countless people started shouting with uncontained excitement. Their faces flushed with enthusiasm.

"Quick, quick!"

"Nikal, smash him with your fists!"

"Yes, yes!"

"That's it!"

"Hahaha, he won!"

"Amazing, Saka!"

Bursts of excited cheers filled the air as the crowd shouted and roared with passion.

At the very center, the battle stage, Saint Warriors took the field one after another.

Their powerful Cosmo surged forth, and their energies clashed fiercely. If not for the divine will imbued in this land, even these "exchanges" would have torn the earth to shreds.

But this Grand Tournament in Sanctuary was very different from the one held in modern time and space.

Back then, most participants hadn't even awakened the Sixth Sense.

But now, those who dared step onto the stage were nearly all Peak-Level Seventh Sense users.

You wouldn't see a single person who had just barely entered the Seventh Sense.

If this were the SS era, every single participant here would be considered a top-tier Gold Saint Warrior, perhaps even worthy of the title of "closest to a Spiritual God", like the legendary Sages.

Yet clearly, in this Mythical Era, that level of power was no longer anything special.

Even Peak-Level Seventh Sense users were not uncommon within Sanctuary.

And in the Mythical Era at large, they were even more numerous.

After all, in this time period, not only were First-Class Gods still walking the world,

Second-Class and Third-Class Gods were also present.

In addition, there were also Demi-Gods and Attendants.

All of these beings possessed power that far exceeded that of Peak-Level Seventh Sense humans.

None of them would be referred to as merely "closest to the gods", and so the Seventh Sense Peak Level clearly wasn't worthy of that title anymore.

At most, they were just a cut above foot soldiers.

True strength in this era still belonged to the Attendants and Demi-Gods, beings who often wielded power that transcended all mortals.

That was the true reason Athena's Sanctuary was weak: it lacked this level of power.

But fortunately, over the past twenty years, Sanctuary had begun to change.

Take, for example, the Eighth Sense.

Thanks to Jiang Chen's guidance and efforts two decades ago, by now, several Saints in Sanctuary had awakened the Eighth Sense.

The Eighth Sense, when paired with a Golden Sacred Cloth, might not yet rival a Second-Class Spiritual God, but it was already comparable to some Third-Class Gods.

And far stronger than the average Demi-God or Attendant.
