Chapter 311 - MCSDB Chapter 197 The Destined Fate of Ophiuchus Part 2

Especially the Gold Saints, their eyes lit up instantly.

"This is…?" Melchaba murmured and amidst his astonishment, his thoughts turned to a particular figure.

"Asclepius… have you succeeded?" He whispered faintly.

Elsewhere, in the Foundry, it too had transformed into a cosmic void. The only difference was that the raging flames still stood tall in that emptiness.

"So… he's really reached this point?" Jamil couldn't help but sigh with a hint of disbelief in his expression. Even though he had his suspicions, he couldn't be sure that Jiang Chen could truly reach this level.

But now, he had.

The power of Omega, a domain even the gods couldn't touch, and Jiang Chen had actually stepped into it.

"This guy… he really went for it! No… wait, he really did it!" A figure stepped from the fire, eyes wide, filled with incredulity.

Jamil remained silent.

For a while, the two simply looked at each other, lost for words. Of course, Jiang Chen himself knew nothing of this as his entire being was immersed within the starry sea.

With the knowledge from his past life about the galaxies and civilizations, the void of his inner cosmos had begun to take shape and refine itself.

His mighty Eighth Sense Cosmo, combined with Athena's drop of divine blood, had become the perfect foundation for completing this transformation.

And because this Cosmo was continuously filling and expanding, it was undergoing a complete metamorphosis toward a true Great Universe.

Time flowed quietly.

And in the blink of an eye, an entire year had passed.

During this year, the entire Sanctuary remained completely immersed within the void of the Universe.

Inside the Sanctuary…

The Saint Warriors began to experience explosive breakthroughs. Originally, there were only a handful who could reach the Eighth Sense, and in total, there were fewer than fifteen people who had reached that level.

But now, within the vast Cosmo of Jiang Chen, more and more had started to break through to the Eighth Sense.

At first, it was just one or two. But as time passed, the number of breakthroughs steadily grew.

Until one day,

"Boom!"

A majestic aura suddenly surged upward, and the next moment, a powerful energy swept across the heavens. The golden Aries Sacred Cloth on Melchaba's body underwent a visible transformation in that instant.

The golden brilliance instantly radiated outward and then came the birth of an immense Cosmo.

"Melchaba, you--?!" Arudi's eyes widened as his gaze locked onto Melchaba.

There was no doubt, the Gold Cloth on Melchaba's body had completely evolved. And not only had the Sacred Cloth transformed, even Melchaba's aura had fundamentally changed.

"Is this the miracle caused by an ultimate Cosmo? What an incredible feeling…" He murmured to himself, unable to help but recall what Jiang Chen had told him before.

He never expected that, by simply staying within this void for one short year, he would achieve this.

At this moment, he felt like he could do anything. But Melchaba wasn't the only one undergoing change.

Soon after, more Saints Sacred Cloths began to evolve as well. This was a Mythical Era, reaching the Eighth Sense was far easier than before. By now, quite a few Saints had already touched upon the Eighth Sense.

And with Jiang Chen's support, even more had reached that stage and began receiving their blessings.

As for the Goddess's Blood, it was flowing through the entire Sanctuary. During the ancient battle with Poseidon, Athena's blood had formed the Sanctuary's current barrier. Now, it only needed to be activated.

One by one, rays of light bloomed.

In total, with Melchaba included, three beams of light burst forth from within the pitch-black universe and as they broke through, their Cosmos spread, and Jiang Chen's Cosmo was simultaneously strengthened and expanded.

It began to rapidly grow.

No one knew how long this lasted, nor how much time had passed…

Eventually, the vast void space began to slowly recede, and the reflected sea of stars gradually condensed, finally returning to the confines of Jiang Chen's room.

A moment passed.

As the starry sea completely vanished, Jiang Chen slowly opened his eyes.

"Omega… So this… is the power of Omega?" He whispered.

Subconsciously, Jiang Chen clenched his fist. In that instant, he faintly sensed a majestic, overwhelming power hidden within his body. A power incomparable to anything he had felt before.

Even if it was just the tip of the iceberg, he could still clearly feel the immense terror lurking within it. He couldn't even imagine, if he could fully master this power, what level of strength he would achieve.

Jiang Chen even suspected that if he truly mastered Omega, his strength might rival that of Zen'ō (King of All).

But clearly… to truly master it was nearly impossible.

Even though he had touched it, the distance between touching and mastery was unfathomable, no one could say how far apart they truly were.

Aside from the hacked protagonist Kōga, no one had ever reached this level.

Not even the Spiritual Gods could.

"Huu…"

Letting out a heavy breath, Jiang Chen had just risen to his feet when, a figure silently appeared in front of him.

"Lady Athena!"

Looking at the purple-haired girl holding a divine staff, Jiang Chen's heart tightened as he hurriedly saluted.

"Asclepius. You've already touched the power of Omega, and it's stirred the will of the gods. You… are too fast." Athena gave Jiang Chen a complex look, then fell silent for a moment before speaking slowly.

"What…?" Hearing her words, Jiang Chen couldn't help but be shocked.

"Even though I was able to isolate the Sanctuary at the very first moment, I can't keep it shielded for long. Omega belongs to the power of the Great Universe, and the gods' will shall inevitably be disturbed. Once triggered, it won't be long before the rest of the gods become aware of it." Athena explained softly.

To be honest, even she hadn't expected things to unfold like this. Though she had considered the possibility that Jiang Chen might grasp Omega's power, she never imagined he would do so this quickly.

And now, even as the Goddess of Wisdom, she had been caught off guard.

"I understand." Jiang Chen nodded slightly, he finally understood what the ominous shadow in his heart had been warning him about.

This was his Trial of Death. If he couldn't survive it, his login into this world would end here. But if he could overcome it, then the main quest ahead probably wouldn't pose too much trouble.

However, it was obvious, overcoming this Trial of Death would be no small feat.

The will of the gods had been stirred… And there was also the ancient record about the Ophiuchus Gold Saint (the Saint of the Snake constellation).

Jiang Chen could already imagine what was about to happen.

The Ophiuchus Gold Saint Asclepius only existed during the Mythical Era, a noble, benevolent figure revered like a god. He healed all the injured with his divine medical arts, saved people from sickness, and could even resurrect the dead.

Unconsciously, the people came to worship him as a god.

Over time, the Ophiuchus Saint began to believe he was equal to the gods. But when his ambition shifted from being man to become a god, his challenge to divine authority enraged the pantheon.

As punishment, the Ophiuchus Gold Saint was banished from the Sanctuary, and even his existence was erased. The Ophiuchus constellation was removed from the Golden Saints roster entirely, and eventually reborn as a Silver Saint Cloth.

Unless something unexpected happened, Jiang Chen suspected he was about to meet the same fate.

His brows furrowed slightly.

Then, after a long moment,

"Thank you, Lady Athena." Jiang Chen bowed respectfully, expressing his gratitude to Athena.

"There's no need for you to thank me. Just be prepared. Even I… cannot help you beyond this. The only thing I can guarantee is that my Father, King of Hell Hades, and Poseidon will not descend upon this place." Athena gave Jiang Chen a long look before turning and vanishing into the void.

Her final words made Jiang Chen's pupils contract slightly.

He wasn't a fool, he could clearly understand what Athena's words implied.
