Son Goku had easily resolved both Frieza and Cell, but his body was still trapped in Hell. Fortunately, with Piccolo's arrival and his cooperation with Dende, the Gate of Hell was finally opened.
However, just as Piccolo and Dende opened the gate, Super Android 17 had already begun rampaging through the Z-Warriors.
Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Pan, Bulla, Android 18, none of them could stand against him.
"Run!" Android 18 shouted, her expression marked with unprecedented seriousness.
She was fully aware that none of them stood a chance against Super 17. If not for the lingering consciousness of Android 17 within Super 17, they might all have been dead by now.
"You bastard! I'm Vegeta of the Saiyans! How could I possibly run away?!" Vegeta roared, his aura surging violently as the power of Super Saiyan 2 exploded to the limit.
He launched himself straight into the sky.
However,
Boom!
In the next instant, a figure came crashing down like a cannonball.
"Dad!" Trunks rushed over and, with great effort, helped lift Vegeta from the rubble. At the same time, Super Android 17, who had been tangling with Android 18 in the air, seemed to lose control of his rationality.
Boom!
A massive energy blast burst forth. Caught off guard, Android 18 was blasted away by the explosion, sent flying into the distance.
"It's over!" A cold, mechanical voice echoed as Super 17 raised his hand again.
A terrifying energy wave began to gather in his palm, ready to rain destruction down below. On the ground, the remaining Z-Warriors' faces were filled with unwillingness.
Despair.
And a burning, uncontainable fury.
But it all seemed pointless. Just as they were about to be swallowed by that horrifying blast,
Swish!
A figure appeared.
"Kamehameha!!"
A massive blue energy wave shot upward and collided head-on with the energy blast.
Boom! Boom! BOOMMMMMM!
Thunderous explosions rocked the sky and a blinding light burst forth as overwhelming energy surged through the heavens.
"Dad!!"
Gohan couldn't help but shout in excitement while everyone else's eyes lit up as well.
Even Vegeta let out a relieved sigh.
"Don't worry! I'm here!" Son Goku, smiling confidently, released a powerful aura, and in the next moment, his body transformed into Super Saiyan 4.
"Son Goku!" As Super 17's gaze locked onto him, that cold, mechanical voice sounded again.
In the blink of an eye, he moved and the battle between the two exploded instantly.
On one side, Super Android 17.
On the other, Super Saiyan 4 Son Goku.
But unlike the original timeline, this time, Goku immediately suppressed Super 17. At full Super Saiyan 4 power, even without going all out, Goku's strength was on a completely different level, far beyond what Super 17 could handle.
Boom. Boom. BOOMMMM!
"Impossible! That's Super Android 17!!" Dr. Gero shouted in disbelief with rage thick in his voice. His expression was filled with shock. That android was supposed to be Hell's ultimate masterpiece, a joint creation with Dr. Myuu. How could he not be a match for Goku?
"Damn it! We failed to trap him!" Dr. Myuu's expression also darkened as he looked at this scene.
But as the two cursed, "Hmph!"
"There's no such thing as impossible! Kakarot is the strongest warrior in the universe!" A cold snort cut through the air.
And in the next moment, both Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu's expressions changed dramatically.
"The Full Power of Super Saiyan 4. Not good! Run!" Dr. Myuu cried out, and his figure immediately shot up into the sky, trying to flee into the distance.
Dr. Gero instinctively started to act as well, but it was already too late.
Boom!
Just as Dr. Myuu rose into the air, his chest was instantly pierced through, and his body crashed straight down.
Dr. Gero, in the next moment, had his neck grabbed by a hand.
"Ve-Vegeta!" Dr. Gero clearly saw who it was and his eyes were filled with shock as he tried to speak.
But the next moment---
Crack!
Dr. Gero's head was twisted clean off. Then, with a stomp from Vegeta's right foot, Dr. Gero's head was crushed into pieces.
In almost an instant, the two culprits had been dealt with.
"Looks like you've changed quite a bit. Much better than the Vegeta from my time and space." A chuckling voice rang out, and Jiang Chen's figure appeared.
"Your 'time and space' version of me?" Vegeta was startled at first, but when he recognized Jiang Chen's voice, he turned his head, looking slightly surprised.
"Yes. The Vegeta from my timeline would never admit that Kakarrot is the strongest warrior in the universe." Jiang Chen said with a light smile.
"Is that so?" Vegeta snorted coldly and didn't continue the topic.
Jiang Chen didn't mind his attitude. His gaze turned toward the distance. There, the battle between Son Goku and Super 17 had reached a fever pitch.
Though Super 17 started off no match for Goku, after absorbing Goku's 10x Kamehameha, his strength had clearly increased by a level. Goku was beginning to show signs of strain.
Both Jiang Chen and Vegeta silently watched.
Suddenly, Vegeta spoke again.
"You came to our world with a purpose, didn't you?" Vegeta's voice rang out.
"Yes." Jiang Chen glanced at him, slightly surprised, but nodded without hesitation.
Hearing his reply, Vegeta frowned and was about to speak again, but Jiang Chen spoke first.
"There's no need to guess my purpose. The Supreme Kai of Time asked me to form a team of Time-Space Patrol Officers to maintain the stability of time and space. My main goal in coming here is to select those worthy of becoming Time-Space Patrol members. Goku, and you, are among the candidates. As for Goku, I may not be able to decide; I'll have to wait and see what Dragon God Zalama intends." Jiang Chen smiled lightly and explained.
"Time-Space Patrol?" Vegeta was a little surprised.
"Yes, Vegeta. I wonder if you're interested?" Jiang Chen nodded and asked with a smile.
"If I become a Time-Space Patrol Officer… can I become stronger? Stronger than Kakarrot?" Vegeta didn't respond immediately. He fell silent for a moment. Then he asked in a deep voice.
Although during the Majin Buu arc, he had acknowledged that Son Goku was number one in the world, acknowledgment didn't mean acceptance. He was still always trying to surpass Goku.
