Chapter 3 - Wake Up Call

The much bigger senior threw me with all his might, and I land headfirst on the concrete.

Lifting my head up the vision in my right eye goes blurry as a warm bright red liquid runs down my face. Kai turns around while spitting on the ground in disrespect. The lying bitch smiles and blows a kiss. She catches up with her boyfriend and grabs his arm as they walk away.

Picking myself back up from the ground, I see a bunch of people watching from a distance. They have their phones out recording what happened, not even trying to hide it from me.

I ran away as fast as I could, still off balance from the face plant landing. Once I got home I ran up the stairs and headed straight to my room. A while passed, still dazed I lay in bed when theres a knock on my door.

Hey dear, are you alright in there? Yeah…

I reply with the remaining bit of consciousness in me.

Are you sure? I found drops of blood on the stairs leading to your room, are you injured? Do you need anything? JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!

I know she was genuinely concerned and rightfully so but I was just too tired and ashamed of myself to talk to grandma. She is so strong, taking care of me and my sister all on her own. Taking responsibility for a mistake that isn't her own, unlike me who can't even stand up to a shit bag bully at school.

I could hear grandma quietly leave my door. Regret fills my heart as I drift to sleep.

"Knock knock knock!"

I woke up suddenly to Tiffy banging on my bedroom door.

Yoo bro! theres a chick waiting outside, she says she's a friend from school. W-wha..? Come on hurry, a girl wants to walk you to school, take the opportunity or you might never get another chance. You're not the most popular. Shut uwwwp…

I reply still tired. I wipe the dried-up blood on my face and walk to the front door.

There in the hallway stood a cute blonde-haired girl with our school uniform and bag in her left hand. She took my hand and spoke.

Let's go!! Come on! Wait! Who are you? I'll explain it while we move.

She pulls to the door.

Wait, let me at least put on my shoes.

I think to myself a bit flustered, "I'm such a pushover".
