Chapter 6 - Ultimatum

I have had enough. I just couldn't deal with their disrespect anymore, not after everything. A new feeling arose within me, anger.

I clenched my fist and with hesitation I murmured out.

• Shut the fuck...

• What you say?

He replied, taking a step closer and grabbing my hoodie tightly to the point of where it strangled me.

• See, nobody here really gives a shit about you, but we decided to be nice enough to walk up and have a chat, watch your damn mouth!

• Yeah right..

Once the honesty started coming out, I couldn't stop myself. They dragged me into the bathroom stalls and the guy looked me dead in my eyes and suddenly a bright flash filled my vision. I could hear ringing in my ears and unpleasant tingles in my whole body. I fell to the floor and the flashes kept on coming repeatedly. I could do nothing but hold a fetus position, covering my head and vitals as they kicked and punched me on the cold bathroom floor.

Once they'd had enough, my pants were pulled down and my shoes taken off. I heard the clicking sound of their phone camera and saw a bright flash.

• You tell a teacher, and we'll make sure the whole school sees this shit. I know it's a bit tasteless of me, but you were the one talking out your ass man.

I don't know how long I lay there crying. People went by, but they all tried their best to pretend like they didn't see me, a bleeding mess on this cold, cold floor.

I walked home with my head down. I ran into Thalia right at the front door.

• Ohhh Tobi... What have they done to you? The bullying has gone too far! I'll kill them, I swear.

She ran up and hugged me tightly, the same way Ren used to when I was feeling down.

My own sister was comforting and embracing her worthless older brother yet, all I could think about was how much I wished Ren was with me.

• I'm a complete disgrace...

I accidentally whispered out loud.

Thalia now started crying and held her hands to my cheeks, staring me dead in the eyes.

• No, you are not. You know I'm not good with words like you are, but it comes from my heart when I tell you that you are the best brother in the world.

It did make me glad to hear that from her. It was so out of character that it kinda of caught me off guard. I wiped the tears off her face.

• You gotta blow your nose, hahaha.

She looks at me with an expression I'm familiar with, one of being annoyed.

• Don't look

She says while covering her nose.

• The one time I've been nice to you!

I laugh even harder now. This felt exactly like what I needed to feel, at least a little bit better.
