Chapter 105 - 105. Blood in the Silence

The night sky still wept a faint drizzle as Lucas made the decision to go home. His body ached with fatigue, and his thoughts were tangled in a storm of unease that had refused to settle since his encounter with Axton. Inside the sleek black car gliding through the dimly lit streets, Lucas rested his head against the seat, eyes closed, as though hoping that a brief moment of darkness could silence the chaos in his mind.

But peace was a fleeting thing. A sudden, jarring sound shattered the stillness—a harsh scrape of metal against asphalt, sharp enough to jolt his senses. The car jerked slightly. His driver instinctively slowed down, pulling over to the edge of a desolate street flanked by crumbling buildings and forgotten warehouses that stood like silent witnesses to something ominous.

Then came the growl from the engine—a low, unnatural noise that vibrated through the floor of the vehicle. Lights on the dashboard flickered, warning of something gone terribly wrong.
