A soft ding echoed in the quiet study chamber, breaking the stillness.

Xiao Zhu's eyes flickered toward the system panel that hovered in front of him like a divine script from the heavens. The words were crisp, clear, and—most of all—troubling.

"What's going on?" Xiao Zhu muttered, leaning forward slightly as he scanned the new credit reports. The golden light of the system screen shimmered against his composed expression.

"It is unlike Xiao Lin to not make trouble. Why is it only Chen'er's mischief?" he mused aloud, placing one hand thoughtfully against his chin.

His fingers tapped lightly, rhythmically. The jade rings on his hand clicked softly against each other, filling the chamber with a subtle sound of calculation.

"Chen'er is pushing too hard. Soon, not one vendor would want to set up shop near the Xiao Family…" he said, the words slow and heavy, as if even he was unsure whether they were praise or complaint.

He sighed. "Whatever, that is for later."

Straightening his back, his gaze sharpened.

"Credit Card," Xiao Zhu commanded calmly.

Immediately, a new golden panel unfurled before him:

[ NAME: XIAO ZHU ]

[ PHYSIQUE: PRIMORDIAL CORPSE BLOOD ]

[ REALM: 2ND STAGE OF KING REALM ]

[ VILLAIN CREDITS: 113 ]

"I've not saved much, but I'm already ready to spend it all," Xiao Zhu said with a quiet grin that didn't reach his eyes. His presence was detached, cold, like someone prepared to burn all his cards just to see the next turn.

"Store," he said firmly.

The system rippled like water responding to his will.

"Purchase one Foundation Solidifying Pill and five Basic Credit Boxes."

[DEDUCTING -100 CREDITS][FOUNDATION SOLIDIFYING PILL ACQUIRED]Solidifies one's foundation to create stronger cultivation.[OPENING FIVE BASIC CREDIT BOXES...]

Light flashed five times in rapid succession.

[CONGRATULATIONS, HOST!!]— 10 Bottles of Qi Refining Pills— 10 Bottles of Qi Refining Pills— Low Grade Green Martial Art: River Parting Fist— 10 Bottles of Qi Refining Pills— Mid Grade Purple Martial Art: Scarlet Severance[ITEMS SYNCED TO YOUR MENTAL PALACE]

Xiao Zhu squinted at the glowing words as they listed themselves one by one. He remained still, but his eyes narrowed faintly.

"Only the Mid Grade Purple Martial Art is worth mentioning," he said plainly, as if commenting on a meal that hadn't satisfied his palate.

Then, with a thought, he asked, "How many credits does it take to learn this Purple Grade Martial Art?"

[ REQUIRES 100 CREDITS FOR COMPLETION ]

Xiao Zhu's brows lifted slightly.

"Is there a way to improve the martial arts I currently have been using?" he asked.

[ REQUIRES 100 CREDITS TO UPGRADE PEAK GRADE YELLOW MARTIAL ART --> LOW GRADE PURPLE MARTIAL ART ]

For once, the typically impassive Xiao Zhu was visibly impressed.

"I can improve even the weakest green grade martial art or treasure?" he said, astonished.

In the world of cultivation, techniques were often bound by their birth—created with a certain framework, a fixed set of core movements, and a limitation that even Emperor Realm powerhouses couldn't easily surpass. To change or evolve a technique meant reconstructing its very essence—an impossible feat to most.

Yet here was the system, something that allowed it.

To casually enhance even a Yellow Grade martial art into a Purple Grade... to do what even mighty sects with hundreds of years of history could not… this was more than just an advantage.

This was a cheat indeed
