Chapter 133 - Chapter 133: Why Can't I Beat Even One?

In the underground, where day and night have no distinction, Ryan scraped curry chicken pieces with a plastic fork, his head turning back and forth.

To his left was Sakura, and to his right was Mobius. Sakura was a little puzzled. As an assassin, she had a keen sense of smell, and she always felt a bit of hostility from the doctor.

This didn't make sense. During the surgery, the doctor was all smiles. How could a simple nap turn him so hostile? Her confusion mirrored Ryan. How could Möbius, after just taking a nap, suddenly appear so enlightened?

"Möbius, did you not take enough medication? Or is the side effect of the surgery that strong?" Another unpleasant tone. Fine, I must have learned that from myself.

Möbius propped his chin up and rubbed his damp hair, speaking indifferently, "I just suddenly realized something. A study shouldn't focus on the reasons or what expectations one has; it should exclude all distractions and take control of the research on its own."

What is this nonsense?

Why did Möbius glance at me?

Ryan and Sakura were both full of questions, especially Sakura, who had already begun to think about what she had done to make the other person angry. As a good assassin, she would soon find out the reason.

"Oh no, Möbius and Ryan are a couple. Ryan just fought with me, so she must be worried." Thinking this, she felt a bit guilty, subconsciously sitting up straight.

"Möbius, Ryan just fought with me, but don't worry. His strength is far above mine. Though he didn't hold back, the entire process was very gentle, and his intentions were considerate. It made me realize how valuable this power is." Gentle? Considerate? Fine, just directly throw the sarcasm in my face, huh?

Möbius mouth twitched, then she asked, "Since he's so gentle with you, do you want to repay him?"

"Of course, that's my life creed. I will follow him and become his sword." Sakura seemed to think that wasn't enough, so she added, "In daily life, I will also do my best: cooking, doing housework, making tea, brewing wine. Don't worry, all of this is valuable. Ryan even said my tea is very good." Her personality was a bit obsessive-compulsive, much like when they first met. She felt that if she owed someone, she had to pay them back with interest.

Her tone was very sincere, making Möbius eyelid twitch. She kept glancing at Ryan, who was pinching his chin and nodding incessantly. This made Möbius twitching worsen.

I really underestimated this assassin. That wooden pole at least had no courage. She's really bold, and more importantly, she's left me speechless.

Möbius paused for a moment, realizing that perhaps she lacked charm? She couldn't protect him from the side, didn't like killing, couldn't cook or do housework, but she was okay with instant noodles...

Sigh, I really have no guarantee of keeping him by my side.

Suddenly, Möbius felt a sense of crisis and reorganized her logical thinking:

The reason Ryan wouldn't be interested is that there are too many temptations around him, so I disregard the reasons and just need to pull him to my side.

She had three plans in mind, but in terms of "woman" advantages, I really can't compete with her.

Should I change my persona? Useless. That guy is too smart, he saw through my true nature from the start. Should I use recently learned movie scenes to seduce him? Based on observable conditions, my chances are slim—either I'll be mocked or won't influence him or the others.

She frowned and then relaxed, meticulously and carefully thinking about the matter. As a result-oriented person, she could care less about the reason for doing something, but she had to achieve her goal.

"Is something wrong with Möbius? I feel like she's upset?" Sakura quietly leaned her head to Ryan ear.

"Don't mind her. After becoming a fusion warrior, her fits have been getting worse. What normal person brainstorms while eating?" Ryan stabbed a piece of potato with his fork and chewed, "That's just how Möbius is. Even I don't understand what she's thinking."

"Oh." Sakura was about to pull her head back when she saw Möbius suddenly move. At an inhuman speed, she suddenly pecked Ryan on the face.

"Hey, what's gotten into you?" Ryan wiped his face, and sure enough, it was saliva. He wasn't too concerned, as it wasn't the first time this woman licked his face. It was just that there were others around, so why the sudden outburst?

"I'm happy, so what's your business?," Möbius hummed proudly, not listening to Ryan protest like "this is my face," and seriously looked at the slightly flushed girl.

Sakura opened her mouth slightly, completely not expecting Möbius to be this bold, doing such a thing in front of her. Ryan was trying to be more serious, but why did his left chest hurt for a moment?

She felt her heartbeat quicken slightly and was puzzled as to why she felt this way.

Yes, this expression. Looks like the third plan is the best. Announce the conquest physically first.

Möbius caught the detail in her expression and smiled maliciously, "So, Sakura, do you still want to repay him by doing those things?"

Those things? Oh, she mentioned wanting to repay him earlier.

"Of course. Your relationship with Ryan won't change anything."

The girl had a special straightforwardness, making Möbius smile freeze instantly. She squinted her eyes and carefully examined Sakura serious expression.

Well, no shame at all. Really, so shameless.

At the same time, Möbius was trapped in self-doubt. The books said this would be very effective. Could it all be a lie? No, I can't use this tactic anymore. That guy's gaze is maddening. Ryan was indeed looking at her, as though ready to medicate her at any time. Even the plastic fork in his hand had been ground into powder.

The aftereffects of SeSa were that severe? Ryan really took it seriously. He thought to himself that he was glad he didn't opt for surgery right now. For example, Möbius behavior made him more and more unable to understand her.

Wasn't she supposed to be dividing the spoils? With her temper, how could she surrender?

Beep beep beep.

At this moment, the alarm on the big screen went off. Ryan looked up, immediately forgetting about Möbius odd behavior.

The incomplete "Sky Net" had captured a collapse energy signal. A red dot flashed on the global map, spreading waves outward.

The range of the waves represented the area affected by the collapse, and next to the red dot, numbers were marked.

"North of the British Isles, collapse energy intensity between 1500 and 2700, rapidly decaying."

Sakura immediately stood up. She had already learned how to be a good CIC.

"Decaying, seems like the collapse has gotten smarter." Ryan took a leisurely sip of coffee, which he had expected. But he did feel a bit nostalgic for the earlier collapses.

Back then, they were so simple. As soon as they appeared, they immediately went to work, heading for the nearest human city, with the moths to the flame quickly dispatching forces to eradicate them, resulting in a chaotic battle.

Now they were cunning. They knew how to hide immediately, which was the part Ryan feared.

He was developing cautiously, and he couldn't let the collapse energy develop either. Fortunately, Earth was still humanity's home ground.

"A collapse energy reaction at the Herrscher level. It's possible that the Fifth Herrscher has arrived."

"Yeah, if she's similar to the Fourth Herrscher, but I'm not worried." Sakura clenched her fists, saying confidently, "With your and Möbius efforts, humanity is no longer the same!"

The fusion warrior program had already borne fruit, and the moths to the flame had gathered many 'superhumans.' Ryan and Alysia no longer had to fight alone.

Ding—

At this point, a small screen appeared, showing Mei. She looked exhausted and spoke rapidly, "Ryan, you've received the news, right?"

"Yeah, I saw it. Any movement from the moths to the flame?"

"The local garrison has already gone, and the Third Punishment Sword Team stationed in Northern Europe is also setting off. The commander asked me to ask what you think?" This was a courtesy, as Ryan had requested autonomy when joining the Moths to the Flame. He didn't have any direct superiors.

Ryan had already made a plan, replying, "I'll go with Sakura. Alysia will stay on Mu continent and send Kevin to the Fifth Research Institute."

"Are you worried about a surprise attack by the Fourth Herrscher?"

"Pretending to retreat is not a brilliant tactic. If it really is the Fifth Herrscher, her abilities are still unknown. It is better to be careful."

Ryan was very rational. This wasn't a team fight, where Uralala and the brothers could go all in. Right now, Mu continent was the crystallization of human civilization, and too many important areas needed to be defended.

And don't forget, the original world line's Mu continent was destroyed, which was one of the reasons for humanity's extinction.

"Okay, I trust your judgment." Mei readily agreed, looking at Möbius. "Kevin will take over the guard duty. If there's danger, inject the first stage of the super transformation factor immediately."

"I'd rather inject it all at once, but okay, I'll listen to you." Möbius snorted. After Sakura, many materials needed recalculating. The side effects on the ears had been minimal, but no one could guarantee whether Kevin would turn into a puck. The dosage for each injection still had to be reduced further.

Considering it thoroughly was good, but she treated everyone well.

Möbius rolled her eyes at the man who was organizing his equipment, muttering, "You're going like this?"

"Yeah, you and Kevin stay here. If the Herrscher shows up, give her a surprise. After all, you're too lazy to go outside."

"You're not inviting me? Of course, I'm not going." Möbius gritted her teeth, watching the two leave. She whispered, "Sakura, I won't give up. No matter you, that wooden post, or Elysia."

Sakura, who was attaching a hidden weapon to her leg ring, raised her head with a confused expression. She glanced at the defenseless Möbius and roughly understood what she meant.

As fusion warriors, strength certainly had its differences.

"Hey, Sakura, hurry up. The plane's here."

"Coming." Sakura shouted down the corridor, then clenched her small fist and swung it forcefully. "Okay, you go for it!" Thud.

The plastic fork fell into the meal. Möbius sat there dumbfounded, eyes wide. Then she broke into a cold sweat, realizing that SeSa's genes really did affect her thinking ability.

'I was too reckless just now. I can't let it show again. After all, last night's surgery was considered a side effect. Where will I put my face now?' Calm down, think rationally, prepare for a long battle. Damn it, Alysia, that wooden post, and this pink-haired fox, I can't suppress any of them!

After a while, she pressed the communicator, growling:

"Klein, do you have any strong antihypertensives? Send them over now!"
