Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Hidden Injury

"Pity!" Upon seeing Aurelia's other talents, which were enough to make him drool, Ryan sighed slightly in his heart, focused his gaze on the Advanced Cultivation Talent column, and activated his copying ability without hesitation.

The copying ability could convert the talents of others into his own, making it an incredibly powerful ability, however, it also had many limitations, one of which was the time limit. Ryan could only activate the copying ability once a month, and after using it, he could still view other people's talents for the next month, but he could no longer copy them.

Therefore, he had chosen to copy the Advanced Cultivation Talent. He could find another opportunity to copy the Martial Art Talent, but the Cultivation Talent was what he urgently needed right now, after all, the assessment was less than half a month away.

At the moment he copied the Advanced Cultivation Talent, a strange feeling arose within Ryan, and the transformation was more intense than the previous one. He felt as if a furnace had been stuffed inside his body, burning hot, and obviously, a dramatic transformation was taking place.

During the transformation, his mind was a little dizzy, but he still looked at Aurelia's Advanced Martial Art Talent and activated the copying ability once again.

Buzz!

As expected, the copying ability showed no signs of being activated, indicating that the attempt had failed.

"I knew it!" Seeing this, Ryan felt a little regretful, but not disappointed, since he had already achieved his goal in participating in today's training and had even exceeded it.

Originally, he thought that copying another Medium Cultivation Talent would already be good enough, since the difference between talents was huge, even if it was just one level. Ryan estimated that Adrian Blackwood's Cultivation Talent was probably only around the Medium level, perhaps slightly better, even though he was considered a genius among the students of the founding families.

Advanced talent was not something that everyone called a genius could possess, apart from those geniuses who were truly exceptional in their field, most so-called geniuses usually possessed lower-level talents, and as for Prodigy Talent, that was even rarer.

Ryan's sudden change naturally caught Aurelia's attention, and she frowned slightly and looked at Ryan with a puzzled expression, "Are you alright?"

"Thank you for your concern, Lady Aurelia, I'm fine, just a little feverish." When his eyes met Aurelia's intimidating green eyes, Ryan felt a pang of guilt and quickly looked away as he answered.

"It's clear you're very diligent in your training, however, training too frequently isn't a good thing, and too much training can actually backfire. Your arm joints have already become misaligned due to excessive training."

"Ah?!" Upon hearing this, Ryan's face immediately showed worry, and this was not an act, but his true feeling.

As someone from a world of information overload, how could he not know that excessive training could cause hidden injuries to the body? Not only would it cause physical harm, but there was also the fear that this kind of hidden injury might be permanent and affect his future advancement, so this concern was not unfounded.

"Don't worry, I just straightened your dislocated joints. In the future, just pay attention to the balance between work and rest during your training and don't overwork your body, and there won't be any problems."

"Yes, thank you, Lady Aurelia." Ryan bowed again gratefully.

Without a doubt, his gains today far exceeded his expectations, he not only obtained the much-needed Advanced Cultivation Talent, but also made a breakthrough in the Blazing Heaven Severing Saber and eliminated the hidden dangers within his body. All of this was thanks to the woman in front of him, and although it might have been something she did casually, there was no doubt that he benefited greatly.

As Ryan walked back among the students, he could clearly feel the envious looks he was receiving, however, he didn't pay attention to them, or rather, he didn't notice them, because until he returned to his original position, he was still experiencing the changes in his body.

This transformation was more drastic and lasted longer than the previous one. The previous transformation had lasted only several minutes, but this time was different, from the time he copied the talent until now, almost ten minutes had passed, and the transformation was still not complete.

Ryan could already feel that there was an imbalance between talents. Simply put, there were different levels of talent, and the higher the level of talent, the more intricate its structure seemed to be, which was why the transformation took more time.

"Ryan, well done." When Ryan returned to his original position, the transformation was finally complete and his body temperature returned to normal, and just then, a voice suddenly rang out beside him.

"Thanks." Upon hearing the voice, Ryan turned his head and saw it was Elias, so he thanked him softly. Of all the trainees, the only one who could genuinely encourage him was probably the person in front of him.

"Your saber technique is amazing, you must teach me sometime." Elias said with a hint of excitement.

"No problem." Ryan was overjoyed to have received the Advanced Cultivation Talent, so he agreed without hesitation.

After that, Lady Aurelia continued to share her experience, but she didn't call anyone up to give them one-on-one guidance again, which greatly disappointed many people who had seen how much Ryan had gained and wanted her individual guidance.

Ding ding ding!

As the bell rang to signal the end of the course, amidst the students' reluctance to part, Lady Aurelia, accompanied by the six instructors, left the training plaza.

Many people looked reluctant to part ways, because although they did not have the opportunity to receive one-on-one guidance from Aurelia, her experience still benefited them greatly, however, no one dared to stop Lady Aurelia and ask her for advice in person.

This world was too hierarchical, people like Aurelia were worlds apart from them and were not even on the same level, so to receive her teachings once was already an unparalleled honor, and anything more was just wishful thinking.

Ryan had no regrets. After the class ended, he said goodbye to Elias and left, but the direction wasn't toward his room, but rather toward a quiet grove of trees in the academy, where Ryan usually cultivated.

Having just received a talent upgrade, he couldn't wait to test what it would feel like to have his talent enhanced. Moreover, there was less than half a month until the next assessment, and even with his Advanced Cultivation Talent, he had no idea whether he could meet the assessment standards within half a month, so he dared not waste a single moment.
