Chapter 181 - The Changing Tides [1]

Celara's eyes shot open. The entirety of the Divine Realm had suddenly changed. It was as if the Sun descended through the void and crashed into the lands of chalk. Then there was another burst of Order.

But it was not her Order, it was not what she had represented. It was far more powerful. She felt her strength returning; it was as if she had gained thousands of worshipers in an instant. The energy, despite being alien, was still orderly and so compatible with her.

She could not hope to understand where exactly the burst of Order came from, not that it mattered to her. Something massive just happened and she suspected it was merely the beginning

She pushed herself off the ground after a long time of paralysis. The cage was still too powerful, but she could finally move. She pressed her hands against her hips and, with a crunch, she let out a pleasured moan.

"I..." She stopped, her face gained a look of shock as she realized. "I can speak! I can hear my voice!" She placed her hands on her mouth. Her eyes teared up before a bead of tears rolled down her face.

"It has been so long..." Her lips formed a small smile as she approached the cage. The moment she touched her, a jolt of pain struck her and sent her reeling back. She shook her hands.

"I guess despite that I am still stuck here..." She sighed. This cage was created by one of the most trusted Supreme Chaos elementals in the employ of Chrunus. Even if she was at full strength, it would be absolutely impossible to break.

With a sigh, she slumped down and hugged her knees close to her chest. 'I guess I have to wait...' She opened her palm as she stared at the burn she had gained. At least she could move again, but she was still caged as if she were an animal.

Her divine flesh slowly repaired itself, something that could be attributed to the new Order that was introduced in the desolate lands of chalk. Even though she could move now, it would be a bad idea to attract the attention of Chrunus.

He was bound to come and gloat over her soon. If he had seen her move and was fully conscious, he likely would have made her experience pain for his sick pleasure. That was just who Chrunus was, a despicable creature who enjoyed dominating.

She inhaled sharply as she stretched her consciousness. If she couldn't escape, she would at least find a way to figure out what happened. She knew Natura and other gods were to be sent to the mortal realm, and thus, the sudden influx of orders likely had something to do with it.

Fortunately, it took mere moments to pinpoint the sources. How could she miss them? 2 beings that shone with the divinity of the sun and 2 more that seemed to transcend the concept of light.

She could sense their power. She could sense their power and finally smile. The happiness she felt was not merely because beings of Order were present; it was because she felt Fortuna right in that group.

She had likely managed to rope in Iguva. She extended herself even further, it pained her to exhaust so much newly gained strength, but she had to make sure Natura was safe. The girl had given her what little she could spare, and thus she truly was worried.

Her, Fortuna, and Natura shared a tight sisterly bond that not many gods would be envious of; however, Chrunus knew that. He was able to use it against them and force them to obey.

If Chrunus had seen her move, he would likely have redoubled his efforts at keeping her drained and on the verge of death; however, Celara had an inkling that he had more things to worry about than to torture his prisoner.

If she could sense the changing tides, then so could Chrunus. His Elementals would surely rush out of his palace in preparation to fight.

'If I am correct, they should leave me and other gods alone...' She almost wanted to giggle. Chrunus, despite all his preparations, gloating, and so-called power, had Order invade his realm much like her rebellion did.

However, unlike last time, this Order was infinitely more powerful. In the past, she would struggle to admit something as embarrassing, but now, after ages of paralysis and torment, it was rather easy to admit how weak she was.

If Chrunus had done anything good, it would have been the destruction of godly pride. Yet it was such a drop in the ocean compared to his atrocities. Only a fool would thank him for shattering their egos, all the while he tortured and deprived them of their lifeblood, that were worshippers.

There were a multitude of reasons to despise him. First, he had shattered the balance of Order and Chaos, then he had deprived worshippers of everyone, and once she had rebelled, he had also decided to destroy every domain and replace it with lands of Chalk.

The gods that were tied to their domains, like Natura, suffered, and Chrunus relished in it. Her eyes fluttered open as she stared at the roof of her cage. In a way, it did not matter if she was in a cage or outside.

The lands were saturated by Chaos, and the sky was devoid of all color. It was such a bleak environment that only the most soulless and heartless entities could thrive in it. As proven by Chrunus and his Elementals.

And if she was correct, the new Order would most certainly break the cage soon. She had waited for so long, so she could wait for days or even years more. Her hands clasped together as she stared toward the chalky horizon.

"Whoever is making a mess out of Tyrant's plans. Thank you." She smiled warmly as she lay down in her usual position.
