Chapter 44 - Sho

I had accepted my fate, knowing I would end up like those before. Stuck in the webs or falling into the chasms. I was as good as dead, unable to help. I sighed to myself.

Ha, who would have thought this is how I die?

"No," I whispered.

"Please," I prayed. "Someone... someone save me... save us. I don't need to be strong. And in truth, I don't want to be. I just want to live happily."

Just as the Spider Queen prepared to strike, a loud, echoing sound rang out from above, growing louder and closer. The Spider Queen paused, looking up, sensing something was approaching.

Then, the cavern split open.

A female figure descended from above like a bolt of lightning, landing directly on the Spider Queen's back with a force that shook the cave. The infamous figure.

Sho.

Sho, a top 10 player, known for her mastery of wind magic. Her grey hair and red eyes were unmistakable.

With a determined look in her eyes, Sho landed gracefully on top of the Spider Queen, her cloak swirling around her like a storm.

Her dark armor blended with the shadows of the cavern, making her presence feel like a harbinger of death.

The winds surrounding her force the spiders connected to her to scatter into the walls of the hall. About seven of them disappear into the darkness.

"Spider Queen?" Sho laughs. "You're FAR too weak to call yourself the ruler of spiders. Is this really all the power you have?"

"Who the hell are you..." the Spider Queen begins.

Sho taps the back of the Spider Queen with her heel.

A blade of wind tears through the spider, splitting her straight down the middle. Green blood drips onto the cavern floor as her body falls apart.

"Disgusting," Sho says.

The Queen's body begins to collapse.

The Queen killed some of her own spiders, rejuvenating herself.

The Queen's body begins to reform.

The Queen laughed, raising one of her legs to strike at Sho, but Sho landed gracefully beside me, unharmed.

The Queen unleashed a barrage of spells. Blades of shadow, venom, and death.

But the wind refused her.

Spells broke apart mid-air, minions shattered before reaching their target.

With a single motion, Sho raised her hand, and just a single command left her mouth.

"Die_!"

And the Queen obeyed.
