Chapter 117 - The Slap Fight

The X-Men's jet cut through the night sky, heading straight toward Magneto's hideout. The atmosphere inside was tense, everyone preparing for the upcoming battle. They had faced the Brotherhood before, but this time was different.

This time, Rogue was in danger.

And Wanda Maximoff had something to prove.

She wasn't just here to help. She was here to win.

Wanda sat back, arms crossed, listening to the team strategize. Jean and Storm were going over the attack plan, while Gwen, Natasha, and Talia were making last-minute adjustments to their gear.

Talia twirled one of her stun batons, smirking. "I love watching things fry!"

"We all do." Natasha replied. "Just remember to zap them where it hurts."

"Gladly."

Wanda, already suited up in her symbiote-suit, glanced at Natasha and Gwen, who were adjusting their own symbiote suits. They fit her girls like a second skin, dark, sleek, sexy, and ready for battle.

Natasha caught Wanda staring and smirked. "Like what you see?"

Wanda rolled her eyes. "You know you look good. No need for my approval."

Before Natasha could reply, a familiar voice echoed inside Wanda's head—the ever-mischievous presence of Fracture.

**"You know, Wanda, I've been meaning to mention something…"**

Wanda's eye twitched. Not now, Fracture.

**"Oh, but now is the perfect time."**

Fracture's tone was dripping with amusement.

**"Your harem keeps growing, doesn't it? Natasha, Talia, Gwen… and now Jean and Storm? My, my, what an ambitious Queen you are."**

Wanda stiffened. Shut up.

**"Oh, come now. Admit it. You love it, don't you? The attention, the admiration, the fact that all these powerful women are drawn to you…"**

Wanda gritted her teeth. Fracture, I swear—

**"And to think, you were once so shy."**

Wanda mentally shoved Fracture aside, crossing her arms stubbornly. "You're insufferable, and I have no idea what you're talking about. I've always been confident."

Natasha raised an eyebrow. "Talking to yourself again?"

Wanda exhaled. "Just dealing with my annoying symbiote."

**"Love you too, boss."**

The X-Men stormed Magneto's hideout, launching into battle against the Brotherhood. Powers clashed, energy blasts exploded, and combat filled the air.

Jean and Storm fought side by side, their attacks weaving together seamlessly. Talia and Storm worked in tandem, with Talia's stun batons disorienting enemies while Storm's lightning finished them off.

Gwen and Natasha worked as a perfect duo, dodging attacks and taking down multiple opponents with their enhanced reflexes.

And then, there was Wanda.

Her focus was locked on Sabretooth.

The towering, feral mutant grinned at her, cracking his knuckles. "Been a while since I had a real fight."

Wanda gave him a bored look. "Is that what we're calling this? I was under the impression I was about to commit a very public humiliation."

Sabretooth snarled. "You talk big, Maximoff. Let's see if you can actually—"

Wanda slapped him across the face.

'Smack!"

The sound echoed across the battlefield.

Sabretooth staggered back, his expression one of complete shock.

Wanda tilted her head. "I'm sorry, were you saying something?"

From the side, Wolverine arrived, claws out, ready to take on his brother—only to stop and watch in disbelief.

Sabretooth lunged at Wanda, swinging a massive fist, but she dodged effortlessly, moving like she was toying with him.

She slapped him again.

And again.

And again.

With each hit, she made sure to add an insult.

"Oh, come on—is that all?" Smack.

"All this muscle and no substance." Smack.

"Are you compensating for something?" Smack.

Sabretooth roared in rage, lunging at her like a wild animal.

Wanda yawned and effortlessly kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying across the battlefield.

He didn't get back up.

Wolverine, who had been standing off to the side, watching in shock, slowly retracted his claws.

"Well, damn," he muttered. "A woman just beat me to beating up my own brother. So much for my family reunion."

Talia patted him on the shoulder. "There, there. Maybe next time."

Natasha smirked. "This is the worst day of Sabretooth's life."

Gwen grinned. "And the best day of ours."

Inside Magneto's base, Rogue was strapped to the mutation machine, energy crackling around her.

Magneto stood in front of her, watching with calm satisfaction. "It won't take long now," he murmured. "You will usher in a new era."

Rogue struggled, fear in her eyes. "I—I don't wanna do this!"

From the side, Mystique—still in her Crystal Frost disguise—watched with an unreadable expression.

She had known this moment was coming.

She had prepared for it.

And yet…

As she saw the terror in Rogue's eyes, something inside her snapped.

No. I won't let this happen.

Even if it meant betraying Magneto.

Even if it meant losing everything.

She was going to protect Rogue.

No matter the cost.

Outside, Wanda, Jean, and Storm rushed toward the entrance, but before they could reach it—

A massive energy surge erupted from the machine.

The ground shook. The air hummed with power.

And Rogue screamed.

Jean grabbed Wanda's wrist. "We're running out of time!"

Wanda narrowed her eyes. "Then let's end this."

With that, she charged forward, leading the team into the final battle like aways, but just like a game of fallout, the wars never end, not for a woman with attitude.
