Chapter 6 - Conversing With Gods

The gods words echoed throughout Hagan's head.

'How is that possible? Their gods. Literal, actual gods. But somehow, I know things they don't?'

Hagan remained perplexed by the gods words.

'How could I know things you do not? I- I'm only six years old.'

"Yet another example. We did not know how old you were, nor do know how or what you know."

Hagan thought about everything the gods have said thus far, nearly none of it making any sense to him.

'Could you… let me move around? It's a bit uncomfortable.'

"Oh, yes. My apologies."

The god undid the mysterious binding that kept him still. The rest of the world around him was still frozen, but at least he could move now. But with it came the unbearable pain once again, and the realization his leg had been severed.

Hagan let out a pained scream, then he began to cry due to the pain once more. The gods noticed and apologized once more. Then, his leg and all the blood which had bled from hid body began to surge. It all moved towards the stone slab and reinstated itself to his body.

It was a truly terrifying process to see and experience.

"Wow…"

"Indeed. I'll count the previous questions as void and allow you another as it was going to be revealed rather way. So, speak."

The voice continued sounding as if it were within and all around Hagan, somehow startling him again.

"… Why did you have to make another world, the New Plain?"

There was a sudden shift in surrounding area. It want anything noticeable to the eye, but Hagan could feel it. It felt… like reality was churning.

"There are… evil beings that exist to oppose us. They are numerous and powerful. This place exists to foster powers to subjugate them and to replenish our own power."

This time, the one with the highest pitch voice who hardly spoke before answered.

"We hope you will join the fight against our foes."

"Indeed, you participation will be imperative."

All three of the gods gave an answer what was unexpected.

Hagan rubbed the back of his head in confusion and stared at the snow below him.

"Now, we ask another."

"Will you h—"

Before the god could finish, Hagan was no longer surrounded by a frozen world. Well, the snow, trees, ground, rain, and dragon were all gone. Time could very well have been flowing once again but he didn't know.

Instead, except for the altar and ruins, everything else was gone. He seemed to be floating in an empty, black void.

"Wha- what the hell!?"

Hagan flinched and almost fell off the altar into the dark depths below.

"Where am I!?"

"Oh, I'm in the Realm of Sacrafice where offerings to the Moon God go. Moon God? Yes, they are associated with many names, Death God, Shadow God, Night God, and more. Most of the names come from false information that was used to deter people from worshipping them."

Hagan sat still on the altar.

"How do I… know this?"

Confused, he laid back on the altar and stared blankly with wide eyes.
