Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

Abby and the animal control officers ran after Randy and the animals. Then Randy opened the door of his limo, and the animals all got in. Randy then got in himself and shut the door. The limo driver then drove them away from Abby as quickly as possible. While they were in the limo, Randy got an idea. Randy said, "Get us as far away from here as possible." The limo driver drove Randy and his friends quickly away from the maze, and Abby chased after them on her motorcycle, while the animal control officers followed in their cars.

Randy kept on the phone with Mrs. Young because she was his eye in the sky. Mrs. Young said, "I see you on the road. And you got Abby and her animal control officers chasing you." Max then snuck up from behind Mrs. Young and took her binoculars. Max then looked through them and spotted Randy and his escaped animal friends trying to get away from Abby and her animal control officers. Max then gave Mrs. Young her binoculars back and then called Abby. Max called Abby and said, "So, you still haven't gotten the prisoners back yet. And don't try to deny it, I saw you through a pair of binoculars." Abby said, "Ok, we haven't yet, but we will."

Max didn't believe Abby, so he went after them himself by jumping from roof to roof. Once Max found the car chase happening, he jumped and ran over to it. Randy and his friends were still trying to lose Abby and her animal control officers, but then Max jumped on their limo and opened the skylight. He then reached into the limo, growling, and grabbed Randy. Eliza said, "Randy!" Max said, "Give me the remote." Randy said, "Never." Max said, "Fine. If you won't give it to me, I'll take it, even if I have to kill you. As I said at the house, I never liked you anyway." Ace then bit Max's ankle, and Max shouted, "Ouch!" Eliza and Rose then jumped and knocked Max off the limo, so he would let Randy go. Eliza and Rose then exchanged paw slaps, and then they all got back into the limo.

Meanwhile, everyone back at the house was unconscious, but they finally woke up. When they did, it was nighttime, and the werewolf pack changed into werewolves. The police kept trying to get in, but the werewolf tried to keep the police out while Hunter attempted to kill the werewolves. Merna and Randall then used Randy's telescope from inside his room and saw them heading for Werewolf Rock in a car chase. They also saw Rodney and Anna chasing after them. Once they got to Werewolf Rock, Randy got out of the limo and ran up to the top of Werewolf Rock while Max chased after him.

On their way up, Eliza, Ace, Rodney, and Anna followed. Max had Randy cornered, but Randy saw some moonlight shining down on the rock. Eliza, Ace, Rodney, and Anna then looked up and saw Randy and Max fighting. Eliza said, "Come on, Randy, you can do it." Eliza then howled up at him, and the others joined her. When the werewolf pack heard them howling, they walked over to Werewolf Rock and howled with them. When the other dogs heard them howling, they headed over to Werewolf Rock and howled with them. When Randy heard all the howling, he looked down and saw all the dogs and werewolves howling together because of him. Randy said, "They believe in me." Randy then got an idea and said, "I know what I am now." Randy stepped into the moonlight, and it changed him back into a dog." Max said, "A dog?" Randy said, "No. A weredog." Randy stood on two legs and roared super loud like a werewolf.

Once his Uncle Max was down, Randy ran off, and the dogs and werewolves were impressed by the werewolf roar Randy had in a dog's body. Once Max got up, he chased Randy to the other side of Werewolf Rock and the edge of a cliff. Once Max had cornered Randy again, Randy saw he had a tough choice to make: either jump into the river below or risk getting killed by his uncle. Randy couldn't believe he was going to do this, but he jumped off the edge and landed in the river below. Eliza shouted, "Randy!" Max then jumped in after him.

While they were in the river, Rodney, Anna, Eliza, and Ace all held onto each other, and Eliza grabbed Randy. Eliza said, "We can save you both. Max, climb up Randy and up to us." Max growled at them and refused to do so. Randy then looked at Eliza and said, "Eliza and Ace, it's been fun. And thank you for teaching me how to be a real dog." Eliza said, "Randy, don't you dare let go." Randy let go of Eliza's paw and headed down the river with his Uncle Max. Eliza shouted, "RANDY!" Randy and his Uncle Max then swam through the rapids, went over the waterfall, and Randy's friends and parents saw them. They were heartbroken because Randy sacrificed himself to foil his uncle and save his loved ones.

After beating Max, the police arrested Abby and all the animal control officers and took them to jail. They also shut down the dog pound and destroyed their machine. They then arrested Hunter and put him in the police van, too, since they had a whole cargo full of evil people. The police also arrested Merna and Randall for helping their father try to get away with his plan and sent them to juvenile hall. After collecting everyone, Eliza and Ace sat together, feeling accomplished that everyone was going to jail, but they wished they still had Randy. Evan then came and said, "Hey. Eliza." Eliza said, "Oh, hi Evan." Evan tilted his head and said, "Come with me."

Evan took Eliza and Ace to the side of the river where they found Randy. Once they found Randy, they found him unconscious in his human form. Eliza then laid down by Randy's face, looked at him, and saw he was still unconscious. Eliza said, "Best friend. The dogs then howled, because they were upset that they might have lost their new friend, who had done so much to save them since they met. Everyone in the neighborhood, including the werewolves, heard them and were wondering why they were howling. The dogs then walked away, sad, and were going to leave Randy there because they thought he was dead. Then they heard coughing and looked behind themselves and saw Randy getting up. Randy then opened his eyes and saw his dog friends looking behind him, so he looked behind himself. Randy said, "What are you looking at?" Eliza then jumped onto Randy and licked him, because she was happy he was alive. Randy laughed because he was enjoying Eliza's affection for him. Randy said, "Wait, Eliza, was I dreaming or did you call me your best friend?" Eliza then jumped on Randy and licked him. Eliza said, "Yes, I said it. But when I saw you go over those falls, I thought I'd never see you again."

Randy's parents then ran up to Randy in their human forms, and they hugged as a family. Randy said, "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I went missing, I'm sorry I nearly gave up my life at Werewolf Rock and in the river, and I'm sorry Uncle Max is gone." Anna said, "All is forgiven, Randy. All that matters is we're safe and you made friends, starting a new legacy." Randy said, "You're right. A werewolf and dog legacy. After all, I'm both."
