Most of the time, ideals and reality are just a step apart.
Gao Zhiwu and his group walked quickly. Checking the time, it was already five o'clock in the afternoon. In just a few more hours, when it gets dark, they would reach the southwestern border of Mexico.
Tired from walking, they were not machines. A group of a dozen or so people found a place by the roadside to rest for a while.
About to leave, Gao Zhiwu took out his phone and dialed Quieres.
He was still very worried about the safety of Quieres, surrounded by heavy troops.
"How's it going?" Gao Zhiwu asked directly, as he didn't have any extra time.
"It's okay, no big issues, over a hundred people have died, but things are over now. I used my influence within the Mexican government, so the military won't take action against me soon. How about your side?" Quieres replied calmly, as someone who's been running rampant in Mexico for decades, this was no big deal to him.
"Almost at the southwestern border of Mexico."
