The night is quietly peaceful.
Ling Luoxi, under the moonlight, noticed Chu Nan was still awake, so she asked, "Hey, what are you thinking about?"
Chu Nan snapped back to reality and looked towards the bed; Ling Luoxi's head and little hand were outside, curled up inside the blanket like a cat. For some reason, every time he saw her, Chu Nan couldn't help but feel a tenderness for this little girl, fearing she might slip through his fingers if he held too tightly, or melt away if he kept her too close.
Chu Nan leaned against the wall and sat up, asking, "Why aren't you asleep? What are you thinking about?"
"Me… I'm counting sheep. Every time I can't sleep, I count sheep. One, two... as I count, I eventually fall asleep."
Chu Nan laughed, "Then why did you stop counting?"
"Because when I opened my eyes, I found there weren't any sheep here, just a donkey."
"A donkey?"
"Yeah, someone's in a bad mood, not happy, so their face is long like a donkey's. Isn't that a donkey?"
