Upon seeing it, Huangfu Yi understood that it was the screen painted with large clusters of peonies. With purple sandalwood as its frame and cold jade as its hinge, the screen unfolded into twelve panels. The thousand-layered peonies bloomed, their shadows swaying like looming waves.
