Looking at the oil painting in his hand, Ronan gently caressed the surface of the painting, and tiny flickers of light seeped into the canvas along his fingers.

Very soon, a magical scene occurred.

The sound of flipping a book resounded, and the youth in the oil painting wearing a black robe seemed to come to life, slowly turning the pages of the book he held.

Ronan relaxed his grip, and the whole canvas was lifted by an invisible force, firmly embedded on the wall directly across the entrance of the secret room. A thin layer of ice crystals rose, framing the entire oil painting like crystal, a tactic that could preserve the painting undecayed for hundreds of years or even longer.

Ronan quietly appreciated his portrait, which had been "activated" via special means, and then flipped his right hand, producing four chilling ice balls in his palm.
