Ito walked to the front yard and dialed a number; the call was promptly answered.
"Hello, it's me."
Ito's voice was deep, "What's the current situation with your company's Watanabe Kazuo?"
A respectful voice came from the other end of the line: "Minister, you... what do you mean...?"
Ito interrupted him impatiently: "Stop playing dumb. I'm talking about the person in charge of the Brazilian Mine, Watanabe Kazuo. I need to know everything about him now, immediately!"
The other end fell silent for a few seconds, seemingly gathering information, then carefully replied: "Minister Ito, this morning President Xingye brought that Chinese businessman to the company..."
The person gave a detailed account of the event, "Currently, Watanabe Kazuo is handling the matters of the Brazilian Mine, and the board of directors is also conducting an investigation."
Ito asked again: "Did they find anything?"
