Half an hour later, Zhang Jingdong and his group arrived in Bordeaux.
Bordeaux is the 9th largest city in France, covering an area of less than 50 square kilometers, with a population of over 200,000 people.
Arriving here, Zhang Jingdong's biggest impressions were two words: ancient and vineyards.
The former is reflected in the city being filled with ancient buildings. If not for the occasional sight of cars and modern-dressed people, you'd feel like you've been transported back to medieval Europe.
The latter is evident in the sheer number of vineyards. It's more accurate to say there's a historic city built amidst the vineyards.
And everywhere in the streets, were people holding wine glasses, either drinking alone or in groups.
Zhang Jingdong parked the car in front of a non-chain, old hotel.
He turned and said, "Let's go in and check in first, then we'll explore."
Sophia and He Jieyu nodded in agreement.
So they each got out of the car and went into the hotel together.
