Lucas Hughes stared intently at Chloe Simpson's body, covered in marks, and slowly released her hand.
Then he tightened his fist again, raised his head, and slapped Chloe hard.
"I fucking stayed up all night looking for you, worrying about you, afraid something had happened to you. And you? You spent the night enjoying yourself with another man."
"I even prepared a one-year anniversary surprise for you, took you to Nightfall. Thinking about your hard work giving birth after ten months. And you? Huh!"
"Chloe, how did I never realize you were so disgusting before. Just because I didn't touch you for ten months while you were pregnant and then another month after giving birth."
"What? You held it in for eleven months and couldn't stand it anymore, huh? Huh! You've never been this wild with me!"
His slap landed hard, knocking Chloe to the ground, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
She just lay there on the floor, not uttering a word, saying nothing.
