Xia You was making a snowman; the white snow turned her hands red from the cold, her lips curved into a smile. It was uncertain whether it was because of Maggie's words, or the rare joy of playing in the snow.
Several boys about Maggie's age came over, and Maggie quickly joined in their play.
Xia You also managed to form the body of the snowman and was about to roll out a head for it when a snowball of the right size was brought over.
Watching Simon attentively building the snowman, Xia You whispered, "Where is Ji Shanshan? Tell me."
The corner of the well-rolled snowball collapsed. Simon caught the snow with his hand, "Do you have time this afternoon? I want to go to church."
His reply seemed utterly unrelated. Xia You opened her mouth, wanting to decline outright; she never believed in religion, and attending a service once was already quite enough.
"After lunch, we'll head out," Simon said, then turned his gaze towards Maggie playing in the snow.
