Wang Feng looked over from the sky, his eyes slightly glazed as he pointed to the three, "there. Land on that cliff."
The three looked at where Wang Feng pointed and saw a small cliff with a large tree near the top.
The three followed through and landed on the cliff.
Wang Feng's feet landed, his face fixed a few steps away from him. His heart trembled and his breath hitched for a moment.
He slowly walked forward. The three — Meng Wu Ya, Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang — stood silently, looking at the two graves in front of Wang Feng.
Wang Feng leaned down, placing his hands on two graves. His eyes stinging with tears held back. His breath a little chaotic.
He spoke softly, "I'm back... Father... Mother...", he muttered as he leaned on his knees, caressing the graves. His emotions overwhelming his mind for a moment.
Behind him, Xia Ning Chang and Su Yan exchanged a look before they stepped forward and leaned beside Wang Feng, placed one of their hands on Wang Feng hands.
Wang Feng smiled, glancing at them before shifting his gaze back to the graves.
Meng Wu Ya just looked at the three before he smiled softly and turned around to leave the three alone.
In the next few days, Wang Feng stayed besides the graves, cultivating near them, lighting incense and speaking a bit about his journey.
.....
"Feng'er, wake up!"
Wang Feng opened his eyes and blinked away the sleep. He turned his head to his door and shouted back, "I'm up, mother!", he said and hopped out of his bed.
He wore his clothes and exited the door. He saw his mother cooking breakfast for the family, while outside, his father was performing a few martial arts stances.
Wang Feng smiled at this and walked towards his mother, "mother, do you need help?", he asked excitedly. His mother chuckled and patted his head, "no, dear. You should wash up."
Wang Feng grumbled and walked towards the bathroom and freshened up, returning to the dining table, seeing the two already sitting and waiting for him, "come on, little man, time to eat.", hai father said as he laughed.
Wang Feng smiled and sat down on his seat before the family of three started eating. The three talked about the things they wanted to do today, and whatever came to mind.
After breakfast, Wang Feng went with his father and started plowing the field. He watched his father do it rather easily, making his determination burn as he started moving with more force.
Which resulted in him exhausted after just an hour.
He returned home, tired and sleepy. So he ate and went to sleep.
The days passed normally for Wang Feng as he spent his days with his parents, helping in the farm.
Today, Wang Feng was sitting at the edge of the cliff near his village, overlooking the village, the glow of dusk enveloping the sky and the earth.
"Feng'er...", the familiar, soft voice of his mother sounded behind him, making him look back with a smile.
There he saw, his parents standing with a smile, looking at him with pride.
Wang Feng's smile faltered for a moment, but returned to normal. His mother's smile turned bittersweet. She slowly walked next to him and enveloped him in a hug. His father stood behind the two, before he sat down on the other side of Wang Feng, patting his head.
Wang Feng blinked back the tears in his eyes, "can't I stay...", his broken voice sounded from his throat, tears rolling down his face.
His mother kissed the side of his head, "No... Feng'er, we're already gone... Don't keep yourself bound to us, my baby.", she spoke in a soft, soothing voice as she cradled him.
His father spoke, "It was our time to go. Maybe, our deaths were nessesary for you to grow, Feng'er...", he turned his eyes to look at Wang Feng — whose face was buried in his mother's arms.
"Remember what I used to say... 'Nothing ever happens without a reason'...", he spoke, making Wang Feng extract himself and look at him with red eyes.
"But.. why me.. why you two..", he asked with pain in his voice, finding it difficult to speak, making the two parents smile sadly at their troubled child.
His mother caressed his head, "We've lived our lives without regrets, Feng'er. Well, maybe except the regret of not being able to see you grow... But with your current company... I'm... We're sure you will be in good hands."
Wang Feng trembled, remembering his three companions and most important people in the living world...
His father smirked, "though I have to say, my boy got great luck~", Wang Feng chuckled despite himself.
His mother giggled, "Humph what do you mean. I always knew my baby was handsome and irresistible", she spoke while pouting at her husband.
The sudden shift made Wang Feng laugh, momentarily forgetting his sorrow.
A few seconds passed, Wang Feng was hugged by his parents from both sides. His father started, "remember what I taught you tiger. Don't give up. Be good to your wives. Don't be afraid. Keep moving forward."
His mother continued, "always be careful. Don't be reckless like you usually are. Don't burden yourself, neither with strength, responsibility, or with us as an excuse."
""For we will always be with you..."", the two finished while.their bodies dissolved into motes of light, scattering into the sky, leaving a trembling Wang Feng alone.
His red eyes looked at the horizon, "goodbye... Mother... Father...", he muttered as he closed his eyes and the world around him dimmed.
Once he opened them, he was floating in darkness, his mind buzzing.
"Everything happens for a reason..."
"Fate decides how someone's life would go..."
"Luck gives form to connections, lineage and opportunities..."
"Life comes with death and with death, comes a new life..."
"Time binds everything within a frame, while space limits that frame...and vice versa."
"Life starts with luck and fate, goes through a designated space and certain time, before returning back to the embrace of death..."
With each word, the darkness around him turned hazy. His eyes brightening with each sentence.
"To escape this predetermined cycle, one must abide by it's rules— until one rises above it."
"This is the essence of Evolution."
"...The truth of Cultivation."
His senses erupted with a muffled boom, as though the heavens themselves had opened a gate within him.
Every nerve came alive. He could feel the rough grain of the ground beneath him, the soft weave of the clothes against his skin, the caress of the night breeze brushing past like the whisper of a lover's hand.
Sounds poured into his ears with startling clarity—the faint rustle of leaves swaying in the wind, the nearly imperceptible scrape of a cricket's wings, the distant trickle of the stream outside his cabin.
Scents too mingled and danced—rich earth, damp wood, the subtle fragrance of wild grass carried in the air.
And with his eyes closed, a world unfolded. Shapes, textures, and movements painted themselves in perfect detail within his mind's vision. Every pebble, every quiver of grass, every fluttering insect wing seemed etched in light, as if the universe itself had imprinted its secrets upon him.
Wang Feng slowly opened his eyes. The space around him was no longer the darkness.
It was a familiar cliff, with two graves in front of him. The moon hung high in the sky, with a soft breeze that carried the scent of the earth, moisture and... roasted meat.
Wang Feng smiled as he caressed the graves one more time, "rest well, father, mother."
He said as he slowly stood up and turned around. He was currently alone on the cliff. Just a few tens of meters away, near a small cabin, a trail of smoke rose up, along with the smell of the roasted meat he had smelled before.
He slowly stepped forward and approached the source of the smoke. As he walked, his mind gained a mental image of all the things around him.
From the tinest of sway of a leaf to the subtlest blow of the wind and odor.
This new feeling of awareness made Wang Feng grin. He had achieved it.
He had unlocked his Pseudo - Divine Sense!
Not only that, he had reached 7th Stage Soul Refining Realm!
All of this happened because his Seven Po Souls have now become completely strengthened. Not only that, after his Seven Po souls had been strengthened, one of his Hun Souls has also become completely strengthened as well: Shuang Ling or Bright Spirit Soul, which governs the Seven Emotions of the Human Phyche.
Though it was only possible because of the direct connection of the Bright Spirit Soul with the Seven Po Souls. One governed the Seven Emotions and the other were linked to the Six Desires.
By strengthening and connecting the Seven Po Souls with the Bright Spirit Hun Soul, one can achieve an unnaturally heightened six sense, which is in fact a Pseudo-Divine Sense.
Wang Feng finally reached the cabin and saw Meng Wu Ya, Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang sitting around a fire. The two girl listening to what Meng Wu Ya was explaining to them.
As soon as Wang Feng was a dozen meters away, the girls stood up, Meng Wu Ya stopped and looked towards his direction.
As soon as Wang Feng was visible, the two girls moved forward and hugged him, making Wang Feng chuckled, "haha, sorry if I worried you guys, I was just... Comprehending something.."
He said while caressing the backs of the two girls. His eyes met Meng Wu Ya's, who just looked at him for a few seconds before he sighed in relief and said, "stinky brat, you've been unresponsive for more than 10 days now."
This made Wang Feng chuckle awkwardly, making the girls giggle as the two stepped back and the four sat down and started eating a Tier 4 Monster Beast Meat.
When Wang Feng told them his cultivation, the trio were surprised, but shrugged it off since it was Wang Feng.
This made Wang Feng speechless, after all he was expecting a bit of surprise, but considering it, he took shrugged it off and the four chatted and meditated till the morning.
The next day, Wang Feng visited the cliff one last time and the four flew away. This time, their destination set towards the Endless Seas.
The four flew for a few days before they reached a city near the Endless Seas.
The city was named Crimson Lotus City; one of the cities controlled by a 2nd Tier Sect: Crimson Lotus Sect.
Wang Feng and the three entered the city without any trouble or attention. The three sat at a restaurant and started listening in on the people to get the general situation of the area.
The Endless Seas were not like the main land.
On the land, there were Three Dynasties and one Holy Land: Great Han Dynasty, Great Yan Dynasty and the Tian Ling Dynasty were the Dynasty. While the only Holy Land was the Ash-Gray Cloud Evil Land.
But, even all of these only made up nearly 30-35% of the Small World. While the rest of 65-70% were islands and a boundless Sea.
Thus, the Sea was called the Endless Sea.
The terrain in the Endless Seas were much divided, but simpler than on the land.
Such as; in the Great Han Dynasty, the most powerful and influencial were the Eight Great Families. But there were many other forces that were always plotting against each other.
Ash-Gray Cloud EvilLand being the place with general population cultivating the demonic path, were a public enemy that kept these forces aligned, otherwise, Great Han forces might just kill each other to rise up.
Endless Sea's hierarchy were much simpler and solid. The entire Endless Seas was divided into sections. Each section had a Super Force; a Force with a — or more — Transcendent Realm Cultivator.
One such example was the Supreme Solitary Sect that had appeared in the Original timeline. In the canon, it was said that the Supreme Solitary Sect was a force comparable to the Great Han Dynasty's Eight Great Families.
But it was never specified to what level this comparison was. Was the Supreme Solitary Sect equal to just one Great Family? Or more than one.
After all, the Elder that had came to the Inheritance War in the original timeline was someone who had reached the Peak of 1st Stage Transcendent Realm, while the Supreme Elders of the Great Families were just at the Early 1st Stage Transcendent Realm.
And that didn't mean the Supreme Solitary Sect only had a single Transcendent, there could be more.
But, even that wasn't enough for the Supreme Solitary Sect to be the top most force. It was only one of the top ones. Meaning there were more forces at that level.
This possibility made Wang Feng excited and curious.
Just what did fate and luck had in store for him?
