The truth was, Greyson was currently pregnant with their second child.
That was what Oberyn was worried about.
Greyson understood. He really did… but still!
"But… I'm already in the stable period, so I think it should be fine…"
"No, it's not fine. I understand you want to go see Raffy, but the town he lives in is still at least a full day away by carriage, even if we hurry. What if something happens during that time?"
What Oberyn said made sense. But even so, Greyson still hadn't gotten over the fact that, when he gave birth to their first child, Oberyn had come up with some excuse and didn't let him visit home then either.
"…Yeah, you're right."
He replied with those words, but the frustration inside him didn't go away at all. Quietly leaving Oberyn's room, Greyson began to plan for the day he would finally carry out his escape.
The day of the plan had come. Oberyn was away visiting a neighboring country for diplomatic work. Greyson had chosen this day on purpose.
