As The Amazing Spider-Man 2 concluded, Peter, who had remained inactive for some time, finally took action. His new goal: to track down Gustav Fiers, the mastermind pulling the strings from the shadows.
Despite Oscorp Industries still being in turmoil, Harry chose to help Peter, using the company's AI systems to investigate potential secret bases linked to the mysterious "Gentleman" and uncover any connections he had with McCann.
Meanwhile, McCann, who had seen Gustav Fiers partially exposed on The Screen, felt his last hope crumbling. Initially, he had believed that his associate might still be able to rescue him, given their past cooperation.
But seeing that even the Gentleman couldn't protect himself, McCann realized he was out of options. Without hesitation, he decided to betray Fiers, revealing everything he knew to the FBI in exchange for leniency.
He also hoped to avoid physical torture, as the FBI—having failed to capture Fiers for several days—was growing increasingly impatient.
The public, too, was demanding swift justice, insisting that Fiers be captured before he could cause more harm. As long as such a dangerous and ambitious man remained at large, fear would continue to grip the people.
Under intense public pressure, McCann knew that staying silent would only lead to a harsher punishment. While he had initially counted on his influential status to protect him, the FBI harbored deep resentment toward him—especially after the Rajit incident.
Had it not been for concerns about public backlash and the possibility of being accused of coercing a confession through torture, McCann likely wouldn't have remained unharmed for this long.
With McCann's full surrender, the Gentleman's identity was completely exposed. The FBI, using information provided by George Stacy, made an official announcement. Soon after, Oscorp Industries found itself under siege.
With Fiers missing, law enforcement officially declared him a fugitive. At the same time, numerous illegal experiments and unethical research projects were discovered within his company, sending Oscorp into free fall.
Its stock price plummeted for several consecutive days, while employees lived in constant anxiety, knowing that at any moment, they could be taken away by the FBI for questioning.
At the same time, Aleksei Sytsevich was deported from Mexico back to the United States, where he was immediately taken into FBI custody and transferred to a highly secure prison. Given the level of danger he posed, authorities placed him in a facility not far from New York—ensuring that, even if he managed to escape again, Spider-Man and his allies could quickly apprehend him.
Meanwhile, citizens expressed growing concerns over the advanced weaponry and technology stored within Oscorp Industries. Many feared that another power-hungry villain could exploit these assets, just as Fiers had attempted to do.
In response, Harry Osborn publicly assured everyone that security measures for Oscorp's special projects would be significantly reinforced. He vowed that under no circumstances would this technology fall into the wrong hands.
Peter and Gwen also stepped forward to support Harry, and given the trust the public had in Spider-Man, tensions began to ease. Over the next two weeks, the controversy gradually died down.
After more than ten days of evasion, Gustav Fiers was finally apprehended at a hidden location in New York. With no superhuman abilities to rely on, he had little choice but to surrender the moment he found himself staring down the barrels of FBI firearms.
His grand ambitions had been crushed before they could even fully take shape. Perhaps, in his final moments of freedom, he wondered if his greed had ultimately led to his downfall.
With Fiers in custody, the director of the FBI's New York branch held a press conference, officially addressing the crimes committed by McCann and Fiers, as well as the silencing of Connors. The long and twisted conspiracy was finally exposed to the world.
For Peter, meeting McCann also meant learning the full truth about his parents. But in the end, the past could not be undone—Richard and Mary Parker were gone, and no amount of revelations could bring them back.
As the dust settled, three months passed. And then, once again, The Screen activated.
["Hello, everyone! We've seen the stories of the first-generation and second-generation Peter Parker. Now, it's time to witness the tale of the third-generation Spider-Man! But before we dive into his journey, we must first understand some other key figures."]
"Huh? We're jumping straight to the third generation?" Tony Stark frowned. "That's it? That's how the second generation's story ends? What about the mysterious mastermind? What happened to Aleksei and Harry?"
The first and second-generation Spider-Men also looked at The Screen in confusion. They had expected more closure, yet the broadcast had suddenly shifted focus.
"Hey! What's going on?!" Tony shouted. "Why are we skipping ahead? And who are these 'other key figures'?"
But The Screen paid no attention to their protests and continued narrating:
["You all need to know, the different that make this one different from the first-generation Spider-Man and the second-generation Spider-Man… and that is the third generation Spider-Man has a father—Iron Man!!!"]
Tony Stark's jaw dropped. "…Excuse me?!"
The entire room went silent.
["Unlike the first and second generations, the third-generation Spider-Man's abilities are more balanced. However, what sets him apart isn't just his physical prowess, but his remarkable scientific genius!"]
["Thanks to the advanced technology inherited from Tony Stark, even if he doesn't fully develop his abilities, he remains a formidable fighter!"]
["However, because he has so many brilliant minds around him, he often looks to others for solutions rather than relying on his own instincts. He has grown overly dependent on external help, which has, at times, hindered the full potential of his own abilities. In fact, even his Spider-Sense has been known to fail at crucial moments!"]
Tony blinked. "Wait—what?! Are we talking about me?!" He spread his hands, looking at The Screen in disbelief.
Meanwhile, at S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury's eyes widened in shock. Without wasting a second, he grabbed his phone and dialed Tony.
"Stark," Fury's voice came through, deadly serious. "Why the hell am I just now hearing about the fact that you have a son?!"
Tony, equally baffled, stared at his phone before putting it on speaker. "Fury, I swear, if I had a kid, I'd know about it! This has to be a mistake!"
But then, doubt crept into his mind. The Screen had never been wrong before. If it was saying this, then… could it actually be true?
At that moment, Pepper Potts, standing nearby, turned around and stormed off, her expression ice cold.
"Pep! Wait! Listen, I really didn't know about this!" Tony quickly hung up on Fury and rushed after her. "I swear, I have no idea where this is coming from!"
But Pepper wasn't having it. The very idea that Tony might have a secret son—possibly one she didn't give birth to—had pushed her anger to the maximum.
As she fumed, Tony clung to her hand, refusing to let her leave. After an exhausting series of explanations and reassurances, she finally began to calm down—though she was far from happy.
Meanwhile, the revelation sent shockwaves throughout the world.
"Iron Man? That Tony Stark? The man who stands toe-to-toe with gods?" Countless people stared at The Screen in disbelief.
According to the previous Spider-Men's stories, the third generation should also be named Peter Parker. So how did Tony Stark suddenly become his father?
Why wasn't he named Peter Stark? Was he adopted?
Or… was there another secret behind all of this?
