"Oh, this is bad," Aunt May muttered under her breath. Now that The Screen had exposed everything—including Tony Stark's sudden involvement—things were spiraling out of control.
Meanwhile, Tony Stark, still flying at high speed, squinted at The Screen in utter confusion. "Okay… what the hell is going on?"
There was no blood relation between him and Peter Parker—he was certain of that. So why was the third-generation Spider-Man calling Iron Man his father? And what was up with the scar on his own face in the footage?
And more importantly… what did The Screen mean by "Avenger Civil War"?
As Tony processed these thoughts, Nick Fury was having a similar crisis.
Fury narrowed his eyes, deep in thought. If The Screen was foreshadowing a split within the Avengers, what did that mean for the team's future? He ran through dozens of possibilities, but without more information, he couldn't make sense of it all.
At the same time, the first and second-generation Spider-Men watched the footage, intrigued by how young this new Spider-Man was.
The first-generation Peter Parker had been on the verge of graduating high school when he became Spider-Man. The second-generation Peter had also finished school shortly after starting his heroic career.
But from Aunt May's words, this third Spider-Man was barely starting high school—a full three or four years younger than they had been at their debuts.
As the news spread, neighbors began knocking on Aunt May's door, curious and concerned about this single woman raising a child who was now making headlines across the world.
At the same time, many people started speculating:
What exactly was the Avengers organization?
Inside Peter Parker's Room
[The scene on The Screen changed. Tony Stark and Peter entered the young Spider-Man's room. As soon as the door closed, Tony walked straight to the nearby trash can—and immediately spat out the cookie he had been eating.]
["As far as walnut and red date cookies go… this one is pretty bad," Tony muttered, causing Peter to give him a weird look.]
[Tony then turned his attention to Peter's computer and scattered electronics. He raised an eyebrow. "What is this? A second-hand store? Retro tech? Or are you starting a museum?"]
["I picked up some stuff from the trash," Peter responded casually.]
["Oh, so you're a garbage truck driver now?" Tony's sarcasm was sharp as ever.]
["Yeah, yeah. Whatever. But let's get something straight—I definitely never applied for your fund," Peter said, cutting straight to the point.]
[Tony held up a hand, interrupting him. "Hold that thought—let me speak first."]
["Fine."]
["I have a rhetorical question for you," Tony began. He took out his phone and projected a video onto a nearby surface.]
[The footage showed a car thief trying to break into a vehicle—until a blur of red and blue spandex swung down, launched the thief into the pavement, and webbed him up.]
[Peter's heart skipped a beat, but he immediately denied it. "Ah! No! I—uh—what are you talking about?"]
[But Tony wasn't buying it. He tilted his phone and played a second video—this time showing a speeding car careening out of control toward a crowded street.]
[The footage zoomed in as Spider-Man suddenly landed in front of the bus and stopped the car with his bare hands.]
["Wow. Great catch!" Tony praised sarcastically. "Forty miles per hour. Three thousand pounds of steel. That's not bad."]
[Peter, still trying to play it cool, waved a hand dismissively. "Oh, c'mon! These are just some YouTube videos! You really think they're real? It's all CGI—like those UFO hoaxes, right?"]
[But Tony wasn't convinced. Instead, he casually glanced upward. His eyes landed on a small hatch in the ceiling.]
[With a knowing smirk, he grabbed a stick and prodded it open—causing a bundle of red-and-blue fabric to fall out.]
["And what do we have here?" Tony said smugly.]
[Peter panicked. In the blink of an eye, he snatched up his homemade suit and stuffed it into his closet.]
[He turned back around, struggling to come up with an excuse. But after a moment, he simply sighed in defeat. "...Okay, yeah."]
[Tony grinned. "So… you're Spider… what? Spider-Kid? Spider-Boy?"]
["Spider-Man!" Peter corrected, crossing his arms.]
["Oh, sure, yeah. You're Spider-Man. Wearing this?" Tony held up the suit mockingly. "A onesie?"]
["It's not a onesie!" Peter huffed, walking over to his computer and plopping down in his chair.]
[Tony, still amused, inspected the homemade suit. "You know, I was actually having a pretty smooth day before this. Took the subway, bought a nice DVD player, aced my algebra test. And then… this."]
[His tone made it clear—Peter's secret was officially out.]
["Okay, so… who else knows?" Tony asked.]
["No one," Peter answered immediately.]
["Not even your extremely charming Aunt?" Tony smirked.]
[Peter panicked. "NO, NO, NO! She cannot find out! If she knew, she'd lose it! And if she loses it, I'll lose it!"]
[Tony chuckled, but his eyes wandered to something else. He picked up a small device from Peter's desk—one that looked suspiciously like a miniature mechanical wristband.]
["Now this is interesting," Tony mused. He tossed it to Peter, who caught it without even looking.]
["Who made this?" Tony asked curiously.]
["Me," Peter said, casually tossing the web shooter back into his closet.]
Watching the footage, the first-generation Spider-Man chuckled. "Hah! Looks like this kid has to rely on web shooters just like the second gen Spider-Man," he said, "Guess I really am special."
Hearing that, first-gen Gwen looked at her Peter. "You know, if you had been more into science instead of photography, you could've been an incredible scientist too."
First-gen Peter scratched the back of his head. "Yeah… maybe. But hey, it's not like I don't do science. I work with Otto and Dr. Connors all the time now."
And while he still took Spider-Man photos for a living, he also dedicated time to researching and developing new tech.
