[At school, Jason and Betty were reporting on the recent events in Washington: "Last weekend, Midtown's Academic Decathlon team defeated the strongest team in the country! They won the national championship! And then… they survived death!"]
[The students eagerly described the scene, "There were strange flashing lights! Sally was screaming! Flash was screaming! Everyone was screaming!"]
["There were purple lasers and smoke everywhere! It was intense—like a Bon Jovi concert!"]
[Mr. Harrington looked visibly relieved. "As you all know, we survived, and that's what matters most! I cannot bear the responsibility of losing a student on a school trip. Not again."]
["Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, thanks to Spider-Man!" Jason and Betty said in unison, giving their thanks.]
["Next news—Spider-Man fever is sweeping the school! How do you show your Spider-spirit?"]
[Walking through the school, Spider-Man—well, Peter Parker—couldn't hide his delight at seeing students admire his heroic feats.]
[He hurried down the stairs, where Ned spotted him and ran over excitedly. "Bro! Bro! Bro!"]
["How does it feel to become famous overnight, yet no one knows you are the real hero?" Ned grinned.]
["It's insane! Bro!" Peter replied, grinning from ear to ear.]
[Ned, still buzzing with excitement, asked, "Should we tell anyone else?"]
["No!" Peter immediately shut down the idea.]
["What if I tell someone?" Ned smirked, itching to enjoy the moment of shocking his classmates.]
["No! Man, that is not a good idea!" Peter shook his head. Ned only wanted the thrill of surprising people, but he didn't realize how much trouble Peter's exposed identity would bring.]
[Seeing Peter's firm refusal, Ned sighed and gave in. "Alright, fine. Come on, we're gonna be late for class!"]
[To his surprise, Peter shook his head. "I'm not going to class."]
[Ned blinked. "Dude, you already got in trouble for missing the decathlon!"]
["Listen, I figured it out! That guy in the flying suit—he stole stuff from the Department of Damage Control! The stuff he stole is being used to make weapons! So I'm going to take him down!"]
[Peter wasn't thinking like a high school student anymore. He was thinking like a hero. Like a grown-up. He was ready to move beyond school life.]
[Ned tried to talk some sense into him. "But we have a Spanish test!"]
["Ned! I might never come back! Mr. Stark is moving the Avengers north, and… when I take this guy down—"]
[Ned's eyes widened. "Bro! Are you seriously planning to drop out of high school?!"]
["High school's holding me back!" Peter declared dramatically, taking a step back—only to turn around and walk straight into the principal, who stood with his hands on his hips, glaring at him. "Parker. My office. NOW!"]
"Hahaha! That ambition didn't last long!" The first Uncle Ben laughed heartily.
"He got so full of himself, he didn't even want to go to class anymore!" The first Aunt May sighed, shaking her head. "Arrogance isn't a good trait, even for a superhero."
"Kids go through that phase," Uncle Ben said, amused. "They want to prove themselves. Peter here isn't trying to show off to classmates—he's trying to impress Tony Stark."
He leaned back. "Reality will hit him soon enough. The real world always humbles you. Let's just hope it's not too painful of a lesson."
"But what if he makes a mistake and regrets it?" Aunt May asked, concerned. "He's too reckless to take on the Vulture alone."
"Yeah, you're right. He should have told Stark. But… he's letting his pride get in the way." Uncle Ben sighed, shaking his head.
[The scene changed to a classroom, where a familiar face appeared on the screen—Captain America. Sitting in a chair, he gave a fatherly speech. "So, you got detention. You messed up. You know you did something wrong. The question is—how are you going to fix it?"]
["Maybe you just wanted to be cool."]
["Well, let me tell you something, from someone who's been frozen for 65 years—following the rules is what really makes you cool. We all know right from wrong. We all know black from white. So next time some idiots try to get you to do something you know is wrong—"]
[Steve Rogers hadn't even finished his lecture when Peter—clearly having had enough—grabbed his backpack and walked out of detention. Michelle Jones, sitting nearby, casually watched him leave.]
[The teacher in the room frowned. "Hey! Where are you going? Get back here!"]
[He turned to Michelle Jones instead. "And you—what are you doing here? You didn't get detention."]
["Oh, I know." Michelle Jones flipped a page in her notebook. "I like coming here. Drawing people in crisis."]
[She held up her sketchbook with a smirk. "Haha! It's you."]
"Hahaha! Cap, how many of these promo videos did you film?" Scott Lang laughed, taking a bite of his sandwich.
"Don't ask. I don't know." Steve Rogers groaned, covering his face. The secondhand embarrassment was unbearable. "I don't even remember shooting half of these!"
Scott kept laughing. "Man, I love how Peter just walked out in the middle of your lecture. No respect!"
Meanwhile, Wanda turned to Scott, raising an eyebrow. "By the way, Scott, don't you have a family? Shouldn't you be worried about them while you're here?"
Scott shrugged. "Oh, I just called them. They're doing fine. My daughter misses me, though. I can't leave yet, but I'm thinking of asking them to come visit. You guys cool with that?"
Wanda glanced at Steve Rogers, who gave a small nod. "Yeah, that should be fine."
Scott grinned. "Awesome! Cassie's gonna love meeting all you superheroes."
Recently, Scott had been applying for house arrest so he could return home while still being monitored. He missed his daughter and wanted to be with her again. But so far, his request hadn't been approved.
In truth, Scott wanted to become Ant-Man, like in the Sky Screen's future projection. He knew Nick Fury had already explained the Ant-Man legacy to him, but ultimately, the decision rested with Dr. Hank Pym.
Dr. Pym was still hesitant about whether to pass on the Ant-Man suit to Scott, despite the future projection showing it was meant to happen. He wanted to evaluate Scott personally first, but Scott had been staying in Stark Tower, making it difficult for them to meet.
For now, Scott was just another guy hanging out with the Avengers. But deep down, he hoped that soon, he would officially become Ant-Man.
