"Oh! That sandwich shop is still operating!" Scott Lang supported his chin thoughtfully while observing the scene.
"Yeah! It was just temporarily affected by those criminal attacks. Businesses like that can always be repaired and reopened!" James Rhodes wasn't surprised at all by this resilience.
"I'm really curious about trying one of those famous sandwiches. Does anyone else want to join me?" Scott straightened up with obvious enthusiasm.
Captain America and Tony Stark raised their hands simultaneously with interest, "Count me in!"
"Anyone else interested? Beck? How about you?"
The genuine Mysterio looked momentarily stunned by the invitation before nodding with appreciation, "Thank you! That sounds wonderful!"
"You're absolutely welcome!" Scott pressed the elevator button and began heading downstairs toward Queens to visit the sandwich shop.
["I feel so incredibly stupid for not realizing that you were genuinely unhappy with our arrangement!" Happy, who was standing awkwardly at the apartment door, looked distinctly sad and disappointed.]
["Yeah, well! But it was actually really fun while it lasted! That's exactly why we call it a casual one-night stand! We both had a great time!" Aunt May, who was wearing a stylish casual outfit, didn't seem particularly concerned about the situation. In her perspective, it had simply been a no-strings-attached encounter.]
["Yeah, that's true! But I know I could make you have even more fun if you'd give me another chance!"]
[Aunt May closed the door with obvious finality and responded somewhat dismissively: "Let's definitely get together again when we both have time!"]
[But Happy felt genuinely unwilling to accept this casual dismissal and pressed further: "When exactly would that be?"]
[At that precise moment, both of them heard distinct noise coming from Spider-Man's bedroom, "I should go help you check out what that disturbance is!"]
["That's really not necessary, Happy!" Aunt May immediately knew that it was probably Spider-Man who had returned home.]
["Of course I should check!" But Happy desperately wanted to find an excuse to stay longer, so he walked directly toward the bedroom.]
[Aunt May followed him with obvious concern, "He always comes and goes without making any noise!"]
["Peter?"]
["Oh! No!" Spider-Man in the bedroom heard Happy's call and immediately knew that something was seriously wrong, but before he could properly dress himself, Happy pushed open the door without warning.]
[What came into view was a shirtless Spider-Man, with MJ holding his face tenderly with both hands in what appeared to be an intimate moment. Both teenagers were startled simultaneously, and the clothes in Spider-Man's hands fell to the floor as he forgot to pick them up in his shock.]
["Oh! I didn't see anything at all!!!" Happy immediately realized that he had arrived at the worst possible time and quickly turned his head away in embarrassment.]
["It's not what you think is happening..." Spider-Man desperately wanted to explain the innocent situation, but Aunt May and Happy clearly weren't going to believe his protests.]
[Aunt May, who didn't understand the full context of what was occurring, even offered practical advice, "Just remember to use protection!"]
["NO! NO! NO! May!" Spider-Man felt like crying but had no tears left to shed.]
[Aunt May started to close the door, then remembered something important, pushed it back open and walked inside, "Oh! You absolutely must be MJ!"]
[MJ felt completely caught off guard and quickly attempted to smooth her disheveled hair, "Yes! I'm so incredibly sorry about this! It's really nice to meet you!"]
["The feeling is absolutely mutual!" The two women regarded each other with mutual assessment.]
[At this moment, Spider-Man noticed that Happy had tears streaming down his face at the doorway, "Wait! Are you actually crying?"]
[Happy poked his head into the room with a heartbroken expression, "May and I are breaking up!"]
[Before Spider-Man could express his surprise about this revelation, he heard people shouting from the street below, "Hey! Spider-Man!!! We know you're up there!!!"]
[He immediately turned around and used his web-shooters to close the window with silk.]
[Aunt May looked at Happy standing outside the bedroom and silently mouthed her complaint with obvious frustration: "This is so embarrassing!" She hadn't wanted Spider-Man to learn about her personal relationship, but she hadn't expected Happy to announce it so directly.]
["Thanks!" Spider-Man accepted the clothes MJ had picked up and quickly put them on.]
["I honestly thought you two were deeply in love! I didn't expect that you had already broken up! Aunt May! Let's go to the kitchen so we can talk privately!" Spider-Man gently pulled Aunt May out of the bedroom.]
[Happy shook his head with genuine regret and said, "I got completely carried away by my emotions!"]
[Spider-Man couldn't understand what had gone wrong between the two adults, "You two are obviously a perfect match for each other!"]
[Aunt May explained with practical wisdom: "Personal space and independence are very important in any relationship!"]
[Just then she heard the doorbell ringing insistently, "I should go open the door and see who that is!"]
[Spider-Man immediately knew that whoever was at the door must be looking for him, so he quickly pushed Aunt May back inside, "Don't answer it! Go inside quickly!"]
["But someone is ringing the doorbell!" Happy remained somewhat confused by the urgency.]
[An elderly man outside the apartment door was staring at them through the peephole, "Is it really true what they're saying on the news?"]
[MJ quickly ran forward and firmly closed the door, "Don't cause any more trouble!!!"]
[The three adults in the living room continued their relationship discussion, while only MJ was frantically running around to close windows and draw curtains.]
["What's all that noise outside?" Happy, who had been completely absorbed in the sadness of Aunt May ending their relationship, finally heard the shouting coming from outside the windows.]
["(⊙o⊙)…" Spider-Man finally processed what was happening and immediately began helping to close the remaining windows.]
["Hey! Spider-Man!!! Show yourself!!!"]
["Oh my God!" Spider-Man glanced cautiously out the window and saw numerous people who recognized him gathered on the street below.]
["Maybe we could talk about our relationship situation again!" Happy remained so focused on maintaining his connection with Aunt May that he completely failed to notice what Spider-Man and MJ were desperately doing.]
["NO! You handle your business, and I'll handle mine!" Aunt May also didn't notice anything wrong with the teenagers' frantic behavior, as both adults remained focused exclusively on their relationship issues.]
[Happy sat down heavily on the sofa, but his cell phone immediately began ringing. Aunt May's phone also started ringing at exactly the same moment. "What's going on with all these phone calls?"]
[Spider-Man rushed over and quickly snatched both phones away from them, "Don't worry about the phones right now, okay? I just want to focus on discussing your relationship situation!!!"]
[But none of the three adults noticed the breaking news footage playing on the television, while MJ, who had been standing vigilantly nearby, immediately spotted it. She pointed directly at the TV screen and shouted with alarm, "Peter!"]
["What is it?" Spider-Man turned around and realized with horror that the news footage on the TV was showing their apartment building, with several helicopters hovering menacingly in the air above.]
["Wait… that's… here?!!" Both Aunt May and Happy expressed their shock simultaneously.]
[Spider-Man pointed at the television screen, then pointed toward the window. Not knowing what to say in this impossible situation, he sighed deeply and walked over to cautiously open the window.]
[Aunt May and Happy followed him and discovered that there were indeed several news helicopters hovering directly outside their apartment, and numerous people had gathered on the rooftops of surrounding buildings to watch them.]
[The street level below their building was completely packed with people, and they continuously shouted Spider-Man's name with increasing intensity.]
[Spider-Man attempted to maintain his composure and said with forced calm, "Maybe this whole situation isn't such a big deal after all!"]
"Oh boy! Now 3rd Gen Peter Parker is in some serious trouble!" George Stacy smiled with a hint of schadenfreude and dark amusement.
Spider-Man's current predicament reminded him vividly of the time when he had been blocked and surrounded by 2nd Gen Spider-Man's enthusiastic fans. Only someone who had experienced it could truly understand what it felt like to be trapped while the police station was repeatedly besieged by crowds. He also remembered being repeatedly criticized by name by the former mayor because of that incident and nearly losing his job.
"Daddy!" 2nd Gen Gwen gave George a disapproving look, recognizing that her father was secretly venting his lingering frustration over the siege on the police station.
"Okay! Okay! I won't say anything more about it! Alright?" George sighed with helpless resignation. This stubborn little girl was going to be impossible to keep at home when she grew up!
"Don't pay any attention to him – he's just like that sometimes!" Helen Stacy glanced at her husband with gentle exasperation.
George spread his hands in a gesture of complete helplessness.
